I watched this movie for the first time yesterday, a great movie the first half,they don't make movies like that anymore. However, characteristic of this era, it gets way out of hand and ends up losing credibility because they push the envelope more and more. Finally you end up watching another version of halloween.The guy who played the male role, the father, appeared to have no acting experience. Rebecca was great in this role.

Marleen (Claire's friend) went into the greenhouse, and moved the shovel sitting next to the reel thingy.. it was a trap Peyton sets up for Claire. It causes the reel to spin closing the roof (made of glass) very violently.. causing all the glass to break. It fell on Marleen, and she died.. by being punctured by sharp glass.

The part where the father is downstairs after they run off Peyton scares me, especially when thatclock starts beeping, and then crazy Peyton whacks him with that shovel. Damn she was good in that movie, and Annabella Sciora was great, Everytime I see that scene when she's having the severe asthma attack, I feel my lungs closing off. I always wondered if she's a real asthmatic? Because she was GREAT!

One of my best movie viewings ever!!! Hands down, the audience at first was shocked at what she did. Alot of oh's, no she didn't . When she humiliated the retard, then the worse when she breast fed the baby. That did it for us. The was the best, man everybody in the audience was cheering in the end. When she speaks about her dead husband, you get the sense that he was everything to her. Her baby would have filled the void, that maybe her childhood was never like. I think in my mind, she was abused, a foster child, who never knew love until the doctor came into her life.
