If they continue to refuse to provide the required info, they can face a fine, jail time, or both. Truth be known, most everyone once informed of the potential consequences, provides the info. those that continue to refuse can receive a fine of up to ten thousand dollars. The info is critical in determining federal dollars for community projects.

This was in preparation for the 2010 Census. In 2009 the Census was "mapping" addresses. Each house would be a "spot" on a map given to an enumerator in 2010 along with information as to which addresses had/had not returned the Census form. This was done manually in past census years. My concern is that the worker did not seem to have answers to questions that residents might ask. I have been a worker for two censuses.
