That accusation was justifiably charged against Hezbollah in the 2006 conflict in the north, and that conflict DID cause a lot of damage to homes (the North is less densely populated, like New England here), and also damaged the city of Haifa.

Against Hamas the accusations run a number of TOTAL 2,000 rockets, before the Cast Lead operation - hence the original reason for Israel's advance.

However, these people whose children are saved have moral obligations to call for Israel's right to exist in peace rather than for its destruction.
