Make it so the car will not drive(but will start) unless the seatbelt is in for the driver. For other seats, make it so that if weight is on a seat that seatbelt needs to be in. Or have it so all seatbelts must be in the slot before the vehicle can drive. Make it a norm that to get in a car, you need to unbuckle the belt, get in, and buckle it back up in the passenger and back seats. A seatbelt saved me and my mom, and my cousin, and my dad.

airbag's are pretty lethal without seatbelts on, particularly in higher speeds, belt keeps you in place. Without belt in high speed your head flies to the airbag and breaks your neck.

volvo did great by not being selfish with the patent. they still are some of the safest car on the road. although i believe in wearing my seatbelt i am 100% against mandatory seatbelt laws for adults. it has been introduced to create revenue and to make the public think it's all about the lawmakers caring. i encourage its use, but i think it is their choice on whether or not to wear it.

I was travelling at 80kph, girl doing 140kph rear-ended me pushing me against lamp post. me using seatbelts(+airbags) - not a scratch on my body. girl which rear-ended me rolled 4 times, wearing no seatbelt->broken legs 3 times and serious neck damage + plenty of cuts from interior parts.

My seat belt saved my life in my accident. But the guy who hit me was not so lucky, he was not wearing his seat belt and died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
