Hey does anyone here have good advice for women who are considering joining the military? doesn't matter what branch. I ask this because I'm a female considering joining the military and the military for the large part consists mostly of men. My problem is that I'm more shy around guys than girls at first but I will eventually warm up and I'm not an agressive person.

@hugBitCH - I know this is from 3 months ago, but I recommend going into Intelligence - higher percentage of females, smarter guys who still can kick butt, and you get at least a decent shot at garrison duty along with field work if you want it. I worked in several 'all forces' situations, meaning I worked with Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, DoD, DoJ, foreign nationals, etc. and I noticed the girls in the Air Force were pretty happy with their situations - did similar work with less PT.

@hugBitCH Not sure about the Army or Air Force or Navy. But i know for a fact that if you join the Marine Corps... you will be in bootcamp with all girl. And at bootcamp you will be taught to assert yourself in any situation. I guess what im sayin is.. You most likey wont be shy after boot and if you are you will get over it quick if you have a job that works with the fleet .. Cuz there's nothing else like Marine Corps humor. Good luck!!
