The song was written by Steve Brooks out of Austin; however, it is known to many because Slaid Cleaves recorded it and performs it live very well. For a songwriter like Steve Brooks it is great that two recording artists showed interest in using his song. Russell Crow toured with a road band before he ever made it famous acting, Russell can appreciate the struggles singer/songwriters like Cleaves and Brooks better than most. Good job Steve, Slaid and Russell, keep playing and writing.
