This was the jam back in the day. George Clinton and the Parliment Funkadelic were just incredible in puttting together Dance grooves. You'll notice some James Brown lines (can I get it on the good foot, Good God) Some of the members like William Bootsy Collins actually played with James Brown along with sax player Fred Wesley. This was one of the songs that immediately got you up and on the dance floor. All the layered nuances of this song is something they just don't understand now days.

@ericbuchanan Funny thing is this reminds me of Roaring 20s music with the banjo as the vamp guitar and the bass-synth as a contra-bass or tuba and the other synth lines as the brass instruments. Also Buddy Bolden might of called his music Funk rather than Jazz.

My Jam...They would play this at Spanky's In San Diego, back in the day and it was THE ONLY song that all I had to do was STAND UP and I never had to ask a lady to dance...POOF!
