Come on people there are lots of marine life still undiscovered and this is either marine life yet undiscovered or life we know about.

Unless you are educated in marine life in these parts of the ocean then stop speculating what it is.

Of course it shows intelligence so does a shark when it investigates diving cages, flounders that hide under the sand have intelligence.

@Theocratos Yes this is exactly what I thought. And the "lights" are just reflecting off the surface of the jellyfish. This thing is not alive, whatever it is. Unlike those little white critters that are SWIMMING around the near the sea floor. THOSE things are creepy!!

That thing looks like a very large version of the one that I saw way back, when you first started these. I watched the damned thing spawn from it's stomach right into the gushing oil! This one is much much larger that the first one. Those things are spwning massively now!

This is a ctenophore. Its a relatively new form of bioluminescent jelly we are still learning about. They really do look like aliens and are very beautiful. They come in a wide variety and exist in deep water. They have a decentralized nerve net in stead of a brain! The bioluminescence is formed via chemical reaction in the same way as a firefly or anglerfish. Google ctenophore and future uses for bioluminescence. Fascinating reading!

Maybe the bugs are messing with ROV's camera. If it's true that the BOP is going to NASA,maybe it's because they have containment areas for "alien objects" in their facilities.This is not like a virus.It's a living organism that can morph,they need containment on land,maybe even taken underground to be studied.They're opening Pandora's Box.Disclosure may be eminent.But you're right BeePee I have seen many a Natl. Sure, they have all kinds of great things at NASA, inlcuding some of the finest scientists in the world, but wouldn't it make more sense for oil industry mechanical engineers to analyze why the preventor failed since they build them? Are other devices which fail transported to NASA under the supervision of the FBI? As far as dealing with mechanisms and materials under the stresses involved in these situations, wouldn't oil industry scientists be the experts?

Just heard that the FBI will take possesion of the raised BOP which will be delivered to NASA. That's odd isn't it? FBI delivering the BOP to NASA? What does NASA have to do with oil spills? Is the release of this information the government's way of preparing us for the "UFO" factor? They didn't have to tell us that so why did they? Time to strap into our seats folks.
