Ithink Hank was the greatest singer to come along at that time in country music, nobody has been able to touch him since ,yes there,s been lots who tried not even close...not even David Church...sorry to say..Hank was the real deal...the man,s spirit lives on forever..in many peoples lives today...
I think Hank was somewhere between Ernest Tubb and Roy Acuff. Hank's death came at a good time for him, commercially. A guy named Elvis caused Hillbilly Music to suffer greatly. Tubb, Acuff, Eddy Arnold, Webb Pierce, Lefty Frizzell, etc. saw tough times and one wonders how Hank, especially, might have overcome the lean years.
yeah it's a same that such a legend was kicked out of the Orpy. Hank III is trying to get him reinstated and I think he should because when I think of Country I think Hank Williams nobody can sing a song like him.
Anyway, this is really old country like I used to listen to. Definitely favourited to my "country songs" category in my channel!!!! Thanks for uploading this!
Can this longer version of this song be found on a CD I have this song but it is only about a 1:17 long and cuts out a lot of it, if anyone knows please let me know album. Thank You
When I was very young we lived in a tent part of the time .When we went to town we listened to the radio and Hank's songs were on.When we back to the tent I would walk all around the hills singing them at the top of my lungs. When he died I really cried and I wa sonly 8 yaers old . I loved him and my family didn't know why I was crying.
@Engelborg hi there ,i do Hank,s songs ,i sing them better than David Church does ,i can,t explain it , i do cover songs of George Jones too, working on getting a disc made next year , and thinking of sending a demo to Emi records but as u know everything cost money ,ican relate to your story ,when i belt out Iam So Lonesone the hair on my back goes up, i feel a real connection to him , just thought i drop u a line ...the Phoenix ....
Hank Jr. said it best, His daddy was somewhere between God and John Wayne, this is so true. Hank Sr. was and still is the king of true country music we wouldn't know country today if it weren't for him.
@hanksrfan2008 gotta agree there. My parents loved him, and sang and played a lot of his songs, and I love his songs also! Most def. King of country music!!!
R u sure that's Hank? Voice sounds strange.

It sounds as if his voice is to high. Listen to the orginal. Way deeper. This one is sped up to make a faster beat I think.
