Talking to a band I know (over here in Britain!) and the lead singer used to scream for a lot of their stuff and he had to gargle TCP all the time to keep his voice healthly! Fairly skank. @BeautifulLyrics01 Most likely he was using his throat and forcing his way through it, That isn't very healthy for your vocal chords, in fact, it damages it. It can actually develop throat cancer as I have heard in many cases. The only official way of screaming is using your diaphragm and of course there is a right and wrong way of doing this. The lead singer for this band is obviously using his diaphragm, and sometimes you may tell the difference between throat and diaphragm.
