I know this is the way people are Photoshopped for magazines and the like, but I think the extreme that it is taken to makes people look like aliens, and gives people an unrealistic and sometimes oddly disturbing view of what beautiful is. I think people can be made to look more appealing, or more interesting using this software without completely distorting who they are, or creating an image that isn't even close to reality. This is why I downvoted the video, though you are quite skilled.

Despite how "inhuman" you think the after looks, this is what they do to all of the non-celebrity models for makeup or face wash companies- they take an already pretty girl and turn her into something else. It's sad, but true.

The added highlights look amazing, I've not been able to master that yet.

But her nose was way too narrow. You have to keep people looking human, since we as a species are so tuned to recognize facial features and expressions.

But I retouch more on the natural side, that's just my opinion.

First of all I'm not here to judge anyone..

This retouch is mostly use in fashion mags.

Personally I've work with photoshop and I'm a designer in fashion for over a decade.

This retouch may not be quite as Vogue, but that's not the point.

I won't be judgemental like I say before.

My opinion about this retouch is.. well done.

Way too plastic. The skin is way too smooth, its missing details completly. Anyways i like the way you retouch hair. Kudos for that but the rest is way too fake.

@TheMaycay That's actually how it is when you look at high end fashion editing. Most commonly they use the gaussian blur filter and that's how you achieve the "porcelain," flawless look.

Personally think it's better to have a good pic to begin with, the original is awful and wouldn't be used by any agency, magazine or whatever client since the retouching would be too expensive. Good skills but too, too much.
