I think this is a good song by Nicole and Hugo. Their ages are perfect, because when I close my eyes I can imagine the old Elisabeth and Franz Joseph singing this beautiful song.

I think it´s a great idea, to translate Elisabeth - but I don´t like thier voices, and it isn´t the best translation...but i think, it´s always like this, when you translate such songs^^

Yeah I also would prefer it to be 'ships', and I think that it should be 'seek' not search at 2:48 but I'm probably too picky. It really works in some places though.

Yes but often when translating a literal translation doesn't work too well and I was merely agreeing with other people that ships would sound better. For me it's mainly because 'ships' is what is used more often in the metaphor in english e.g. "We seem to be like two ships in the night, we keep missing each other!" Ships also has nicer connotations than boats I think.

My favorite Franz would be a tie with Michael Lewis(Essen), and Viktor Gernot(Original Vienna). I think seeing them together with Pia is amazing.

Lousy translation in places, but in some places it's very good. I'd prefer the chorus to be two "ships", not two "boats" as in English that would be correct. Terrible harmonies...
