First of all, any amature can take a still of this video and lighten it and find this is CLEARLY NOT a porcipine. The creature ( although very still ) DOES move and is huddled tightly against the tree. It has very long arms, a primate mouth and nose, and has grey ape like fingers. ALSO if you watch the begining of this video you will see that this creature is VERY HIGH up in the tree and apears to have broken the branch it sits on by its own weight.
It looks like the back of a bear cub. Fear of being attacked by moma bear would keep me from walking up to it. I would think that the "Big Foot Researcher" would go to the area later and take measurements to determine how large the creature was. Also, they could look for scat or hair. That of course, doesn't happen because they don't want real evidence
I would not walk up to this as it could be a bear cub... I am not saying it is, but I would not take any chances on a mother bear or a mother big foot - definably not a porcupine...
I cannot believe that piece of crap film on the left was actually Considered by Anyone with an IQ above a dung beetle. What a pitifully embarrassing P.O.S. from ?billyjack?
Obvious he got video of a small furry animal sitting on that one branch or stick, blurred the edged and superimposed over background. That's so obvious. Come on.
A large percentage of self proclaimed bigfoot researchers do not know anything about research or wildlife or even logic . They come off as fools and give a bad name to the entire bigfoot research cause. And now, sadly, the Animal Channel is featuring a couple of these incompetents in Finding Bigfoot. Yes incompetents. The Animal Channel is unwittingly contributing to the public's skepticism about bigfoot and presenting a bad image of bigfoot researchers.
All the videos that are posted make people like me such huge skeptics. I'm glad to hear someone in the area of expertise call out certain researchers videos. I dont believe in bigfoot but I do watch the videos to get a good laugh. Even though I dont believe, this video shown me that there are some out there that do take the time and care how there field of work is shown. After all that I still want the funny vids to keep coming though.
dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 why would u just walk upto it if u dont know what it is !!!! .. yeah let walk upto that thing glaring at us i think itl let me " I.D " it ..yeah
@ChrisFromTheCape ""dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 why would u just walk upto it if u dont know what it is !!!!"" Well ChrisFromTheCape, trying to "I.D" a subject is actually part of a process called an Investigation. People who research unknown animals actually use that "Investigation" thing to find answers. Pretty amazing huh? :) You may also find this shocking, but a Porcupine in a tree is perhaps one of the easiest and least threatening animals to Identifiy. Thank you for commenting!
youre right totally. if i was to go out and look for sasquatch, it would be to prove only to myself that they do exhist. but you have to think of the dangers there. if it was sasquatch, it could have great strength and seriously mess you up, if its really as a porcupine, then you sure as hell dont want one of those charging you. how do you explain to your wife you have a 6in quill sticking through your weiner and nuts?? she may think you were fucked up on viagra? now youre a lawn sprinkler.
You are absolutely right. Every single person I have ever seen on YouTube calling themselves a "bigfoot researcher" is a complete unscientific, sensationalist, over exciteable fanatic. When performing research, you are supposed to start off by being OBJECTIVE, not by working backwards and trying to steer your research in the direction needed to proove your hypothesis. Its ridiculous that these people actually get away with calling themselves scientists.
So many "Bigfoot researchers" are in such a hurry to provide something, anything, that they either fool themselves, or try to fool everyone else, or a combination of both.
I look at videos here and elsewhere, and always try to maintain a good deal of skepticism.
Thanx again.
When I saw the Unkown Maine creature....I thought "Porcupine".
Has anyone realized that the branch on which the Maine creature is sitting is actually broken and shredded from the middle, as if to get something out from the inside. Would this be normal porcupine behavior?
Thank you pendoreille. We are big fans of your work. It has partially inspired us to continue in our quest to inform the public from an analytical and objective point of view.
Wow nice to be being a jerk, Ed is very good at what he does and shouldn't be made an amateur of just because of that one video. Stop being so stuck up. I mean really.
When thefirstbillyjack, or any other researcher, including us, place our research in the public eye, we should all be aware that factions of our research will be scrutinized. None of us should be immune to this.
Was there something unfactual about the comments with regards to thefirstbillyjack? Look at the claims then look at the data. I'm sure many will think we are singling out Ed, to think that misses the entire point of this video.
i agree with this video, there are way to many folks that over analize these videos and as they say enhance them to make something out of nothing. i've weeded out most researchers down to a very few i can take seriously that acually act like they know what they are doing. thefirstbillyjack really doesn't know much about the outdoors and it shows in his vids, i mean he does know what the diffrent sounds that crows make, or what a powersaw sounds like, cant take a guy serious like that. nice vids.
I'm sorry but Ed is into denial. I posted a polite comment about how I believe his "primate" was a porcupine, and he blocks me! Now that would tell me he's not about finding truth. He's more into creating his persona of "ThefirstBillyJack".
@kapacon Been watching Ed for a while. My brother told me about him and some others. Ed seems ambitious but his mindset leads him to believe anything not normal is caused by Bigfoot. Maybe some of the things he has found were made by Bigfoot, but the investigation I see in his videos never come close to any type of verification. I see a lot of "comment removed by author" on a lot of the researchers videos. I wonder how many of them were comments like yours.
Great video! It is becoming a circus out there with these claims.I think most people just want people to view their videos and make a stink over nothing. If you can`t tell the difference between an animal and a bigfoot, give it up!
Very well said. If we are to be taken seriously in this endeavor we have to verify or at least attempt to substantiate any and all claims made in regards to evidence. There will be times when evidence can not be corroborated, it is then that we need to be responsible in how we make so called evidence public. Too often bunk evidence is labeled as Bigfoot, it gets us nowhere. A good rule of thumb should be to try and debunk our own claims before they are made public.
That is NOT a porkerpine! It's too large...

Great video. At last...someone using logic and common sense for all these "Sasquatch" researchers and their blown out of proportion videos.
Thanks. 5 stars.

Great video. I love people that are open to new creatures and phenomena but are skeptical and judicial when accepting evidence.
And I ain't gonna lie - those porcupines are damned cute!
