Good video, however, the military presence you saw was not that of the National Guard. These are members of the Joint Service Honor Guard companies. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. Nothing against the National Guard, but the personnel you see in this video are highly trained to perform ceremonies at strict standards. Again, not National Guard, they are the Joint Service Honor Guard. Thank you.

I was the age of these brats when I went to my first funeral. My parents made it VERY clear to me to be respectful. My brothers and I NEVER embarrassed our mother and father that way. Apparently these parents don't realize children ARE AN EXTENSION OF US!

I agree totally, also why can't people remove their baseball caps and salute the flag!!! This was the leader of our nation, he deserved so much more respect than those brats gave him.
It just seems so remarkably ironic that Reagan had such a grand and spectacular State funeral while Gerald Ford had a rather low key send off. I think their funerals describe their personalities. Reagan as President in the 1980's full of materialism and decadence while Ford in the 1970's was the "accidental" President who did not even want the job to begin with.
This just says it all about Ford. He could have had a grand state funeral and all, but chose not to. What an honorable guy; I wish I could be so humble.

By the way, the Honor Guard escorting the President's body are not the National Guard. THey are often referred to as the Combined Forces Honor Guard.

Growing up my parents drove a Lincoln, during his office after his Ford-Lincoln remark they sold it and bought a Cadillac. I drove an Oldsmobile.
