  • might as well debate what meadow ate the next day, or what kind of girl his son married. The ONLY thing that dies in this scene is the production schedule of the series. NOBODY dies. The Show has NO ending. It is tantamount to the horrible ending of St. Elsewhere. A director's joke on the audience who have been sucked into a drama far past the point of healthy enjoyment or appreciation.

  • scene synopsis is NOT fucking analysis. God Damn.

  • Just finished watching this. Fucking dreadful attempt to explain the ending.

  • "looks at door to see if Carmella entered yet." - that's a guess right there. How do YOU know what Tony was thinking when he looked at the door? The analysis isn't even in-depth! You missed the point about Tony's inevitable door-looking paranoia. The purpose of the black guys walking in.. .

  • Rubbish font. Bad grammar. Makes me not trust you. Shame.

  • what the fuck how is this greater than the mystery of JFK's murder this is a fucking T.V show

  • Comment removed

  • I have a theory...You think it may of been a reference to The Godfather scene..Michael is in the diner he knows he is gonna kill them..So he gets up walks casually into the bathroom..Gets the gun they placed there earlier..Exits the bathroom Bang end of story...

  • @PlaYah1979 but why would he even have to get a gun from the bathroom? he's not gonna get patted down anyway.

  • Holy fuck, is this guy being sarcastic? This is an in depth analysis?? Not much to analyze. The shady guy did not want a fukin autograph or looking for the bathroom; he's the one that did it. Geez, how obvious does a director have to lead the audience without making them feel like complete idiots...

  • @herpderpmonkey Haha for reals...This guy is an idiot.

  • I agree with what has mostly been said already - bobby's coment about cutting to black especially. But what you wrote about the New York issue being settled is what i have a problem with. the new York issue is settle NOW with Phil Leotardo dead, but Phil clearly orders a hit on Bobby, Silvio and Tony at the same time. It would be ridiculous to assume that Phil let the hit on Bobby and Sil go ahead but not the one on Tony

  • Why the don't you have "Allah Ackbar, Allah Ackbar *kabooom* " as a scenario?

  • I wonder why so many dislikes. Wait, no I don't.

I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts that people clicked on this anticipating a definitive answer that makes absolute sense, perhaps they half-expected to see secret footage of David Chase caught in his living room laughing about how he did it to fuck with the audience, or revealing that in fact

  • Excellent !! Personally think it is up there with the Michael Corleone shooting in Godfather!! Gun in the W,C,? Thought the man entering before AJ was with him! Nice touch. But being whacked in front of full family .... Strong message, saddely no more Sopranos.....Lol Just viewed entire series in the last months on box sets thankfully, excellent stuff !!

  • The fact of the matter is, unless Chase revisits these charcter WE WILL NEVER KNOW.

  • They decide as a family to leave on a flight to England landing at Manchester Airport then after a short visit to Liverpool the spend a fortnight`s stay in Blackpool, AJ discovers he is gay when he falls in love with a security guard called BOB and decides to stay in England and adopt a African baby called Zimzom. The rest go back to NJ and commence their normal routine and Silv recovers from his comer and resumes his no.2 position the Cat left the club and started a new relationship.

  • the only enemies Tony has now are from Philly but they have not been in any episodes and it sounds like their problems aren't worth killing a boss over, and if Tony dies who will take over? Chris, Bobby and Vito (sexual orientation aside he was a good earner an his crew was peaceful) are dead Sil in a coma Paulie feels that he is too old and Benny Fazio is not made (he stepped up in the last series and deserves it) but there is not clear choice to take over from Tony

  • tony look to meadow entering the restaurant, and she just tried to park the car three times. That's the number of times someone tried to kill tony, suspicious doesn't it?

  • It's well implied that Tony is murdered. Despite his softer side, he's still a sociopath; David Chase would need to kill the character for closure. The implication that Meadow enters as Tony is murdered serves to make the murder more meaningful. Tony's lifestyle caused enormous pain for his family; in the end they all suffer seeing him murdered right before their eyes. That's a pretty powerful statement right there. Who did it? No clue. Chase planted possibilities, that's what matters. IMO

  • Wow this was lame as hell.

  • DEAD!

  • I think Tony doesnt die. Becouse the New York problem was settled. And the show is not through Tony's eyes there are many other story's that effect other characters that have nothing to do with Tony.

  • It's fucking obvious. AJ grows some bollocks and pops a cap in his fat ass.

  • what a shit font, this is not black metal

  • Had he looked to his right, i would say he died, but because he looks up at Meadow, I think it was a sign that his family was back together and stronger then ever.

  • I think it's an open ending. But the most logical one is Tonys death. And the reason I think is because phil leotardos death was so outside of the realm of honourable. He was shot in the head in front of his family, granted the car running over his head wasn't waldens fault but it's just gruesome.

  • your wrong, he did have enemies in new york when tony and paul went and had the secret meeting in the ware house phils partner said its over but you do what you gotta do and they killed phil so they have t kill him for doing that,And your reason for the man going to the bathroom sounds very ..... its obvious its him,i reckon the 2 black guys shoot him and the other guy does as well to make sure

  • all the red text just tells us what we can see. pretty patronising.

  • My solution is that Tony gets killed but i have other arguments. When Christopher awakes from his near dead experience he says something about 3pm. Every time Tony is almost being killed it was from 3 o clock actually his right side. Meadow fails 2 times. Tony runs from death 2 times. 3 time Meadow is succesful that means that Tony will be killed the 3 time he is almost dead. I also know the music from the little music thing is from sopranos home movies when bobby and tony talk about death.

  • death is like a film strip fading to black...

  • Remember Tony had premonitory dreams....He dreamed with the fishes and one of those is Salvatore telling him that he's been talking to the FBI or the one that is on the beach and He's talking with Paulie about he's cancer and telling him what if the doctor are wrong way before Paulie actually realizes that he had cancer or the Dreamed when He's talking with B baccalla about what is to be death and no hearing anything and everything turns black.... I think the " member guy" kills him

  • I like to think that the guy who went into the bathroom shot Tony. He went out living his favourite scene in The Godfather.

  • i really don't have a strong opinion on the ending and there are plausible explanations for both sides of the argument... but this is the dumbest thing i've ever seen... all you do is describe the obvious things going on in the scene... and then you hit us with your brilliant "scenarios", such as.... what if the man in the members only jacket is gay like vito spatafore and he's checking out tony... which must explain why he's going to the bathroom.. wtf?! btw, your grammar and spelling suck too

  • Tony dies. Man in member only jacket kills him while getting out of the bathroom. Don't need much more explanation than this..

    Awesome ending by the way!

  • Someone walked through the door but it was not meadow....it was some guys carrying out a hit on tony...

  • Right... Tony looks twice to see if Carmela has entered, and on the third time, she does come in, when the song starts. Meadow tries to park, twice, fails, and on the third time suceeds. This all ties in with Tony having had two attempts on his life so far- the black hitmen and Uncle Junior shooting him. This will be the third attempt, at the sucess. Furthermore, there is the cut to black he talked about with Bobby. BTW, i fucking love this show.

  • The only thing certain about the ending is that women cant park.

  • attempts are tonys subconscious giving him metaphors. And when the tension reached its peak we go to black , Tony blacked out from a panic attack. the key to this interpetation is the point of view of tony looking at tony and the song in the background "your life is a dream"

  • @sean82896 The panic attack-blackout! Never thought of that, that's a nice one.

Yet I do think Tony got clipped. "It's all in there" David Chase said. The very rare flashback from Bobby Baccalierie: evertything goes to black seems very convincing to me.

And no enemy's left as this clip argues? A mob-boss always has a lot of enemys left: anyone could have done it for a good enough reason.

  • well when tony first enters the resturaunt he has a worried look on his face. Then we cut to his face then showing his point of view of the resturaunt cut back to his worried face again, then his point of view again showing himself in the resturaunt. This is when we enter his worried mind. The rest of the scene is his developing panic attack. The way the scene ramps up the tension. All the past characters from tonys past come back having to do with someone getting wacked, meddow parking

  • Sopranos was good..but still think The Wire was better.

  • @kenchun24 Wrong.

  • STUPIDIST MOST DISSAPOINTING ENDING EVER AND OF ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS EVER......was he hung over and too lazy to create a good ending or what???

  • Chase tested the ambiguity card with that Russian where Pauli and Chris were chasing, he saw the reaction to that and i bet that also played a part to this ending. In the mob shit is always left ambiguous, sometimes you just gotta get on and that's what this ending signifies.

  • Isn't it obvious? Tony chokes on an onion ring and the Heimlich maneuver fails and Tony struggles for breath but succumbs to oxygen deprivation and his wife and vile spawn live happily ever after.

  • zedorf is correct!! Tony talks about dying with Bobby and not only said " it must be like everything cutting to black suddenly..." he also states that when you get whacked you never see it comming... This show couldn't have ended in a better way, Tony looking as his daughter enters the restaurant, the last thing he ever see's and then (LIGHTS OUT!) The show was always about Tony, I think it was the MIMOJ , now Tony is gone, maybe the entire family, regardless Game over.... Killer ending...

  • Scenario 2 ftw lol was that a joke he looks at him then goes for a wank in the bathroom

  • I'm surprised no one caught Tony telling Carmella that Carlo ( the Rat ) is going to testify. That would be the most obvious reason of all, hypothetical or otherwise, to whack somebody: Keep 'Em From Testifyin'

  • well put here, im believing he aint dead as well, and in believing there might still be another adventure of 2-3 more seasons to come, as u say the war is over between the familys so he has no enemys, even if there was a movie..they would end up making part 1 through to 4 maybe 5 like mission impossible..still millions of bucks to be made from this show...cant wait

  • What I have always thought is that David Chase lets you draw your own conclusions and decide on your own ending. He knew fans would be mad if he's killed and it's just not the kind of show where you're going to have a long trial and then Tony sentenced to life in prison. If you think he is killed then so be it. If you think thanks to testimony he goes to prison then so be it as well. Perhaps he beat the wrap and life goes on.

  • Scenario #7 Tony Gets up, make carmela suck his dick, then meadow does an striptease and tony fucked her so hard that the man in the bathroom comes out and fuck AJ and tony cums all of them

  • Junior set up the hit. His 3rd try.

  • Wow. Your "in-depth" analysis of what happened is stupid. I've seen better theories on youtube than this one. You would fail an English major.

  • maybe tony is trapped, when the guy comes out to shoot him, the african americans cut him off

  • Well, that was a wasted 8 minutes. Didn't illuminate anything that hasn't already been discussed a million times. Tony's earlier conversation with Bobby about everything "cutting to black" when you die and many other references to death throughout the final season were much better clues about the final outcome of the series.

  • @IlGattonero13 I agree the Bobby conversation, which is repeated in flashback in the finale episode, suggests Tony may have been killed (possibly by the guy in the jacket). But ultimately why? The episode resolved the gang war. If Tony was whacked, the episode has failed to provide us with credible suspects as to who put out the hit on Tony. The final shot was not from Tony's point of view even, we were looking at him, not out his eyes which might have 'gone black' if he'd been hit.

  • Well A.J does say in one of the earlier episodes in season six that tonys favourite scene is when Michael Corleone comes out of the bathroom and shoots the man that attempted to kill his father, also i think the guy that entered the bathroom is Phil Leotardo's cousin or something, i dunno there could be a connection there, to Tonys favourite scene and the last scene in the sopranos.

  • Nice analysis but difficult to read because of that fugly font.

  • You know another thing few people ever mention the song when he comes in is not Journey. It's "All that you dream" by Little Feat. Maybe it's a dream.

  • Don't be dumb, of course the guy who went to the rest room shot him. It just wasn't done very well.

  • did you have to use old english text??? horrible retarded move on your part

  • I don't know why it's debatable. Tony talks about dying with Bobby in an episode. He sais it must be like everything cutting to black suddenly. That's what happens here. He got killed. And who cares who killed him.... Through the show we saw almost everything through Tony's eyes. We knew everything he knew. So if he dies, the show dies, we won't know anything anymore. That's what happens here. I think it's a pretty good ending for a TV series.

  • @zedorf Thats along the lines of what I was thinking. Also, the first episode of the sixth season, has the monologue/spoken word thing about the ancient egyptians and death, about the path after death, what happens when you die etc. Its a very frequent theme in the sixth season, the director probably didn't want to show the death of the protagonist to not upset those who had become sympathetic to him. I believe hes definitely dead though, people who refuse to believe it are just ignoring it

  • @zedorf Spot on mate, theres 100 reasons thats why Tony died in this scene but the tit that made this video seemed to miss most of them! Bravest and best ending to any TV series ever!

  • @zedorf

That's not true. Tony was the lead character, but we don't didn't see "almost everything" through his eyes. Not to mention, a protagonist's death often doesn't signify the end of a show or film.

  • @zedorf i totally agree with you, thats exactly what my thoughts were. lot of people dont understand it and says its a big let down but if you ve de coded it and listened to things like ''must be like everything cutting to black suddenly''. you know thats whats happened i personally believe tony dies and your totally right its the show through his eyes no tony no show. agreed

  • @jim31589

    That's incorrect.

The show, on the whole, was NOT through Tony's eyes. It was a third-person narrative. Secondly, nothing was ever said about "cutting to black" occurring when you die. Tony exclaimed, "Everything's black!" during his dream in "Funhouse," the second season finale, but it wasn't related to death. If you're referring to Bobby's quote, on the lake in "Soprano Home Movies," it was, "You probably don't even hear it when it happens, right?"

  • @DetectiveCrockett77 Yeah that was the line Bobby said, Which is why I say he was killed, Since the music cut off and the screen to black,

And for the conspiracy theory lovers.. Could it be they Song by Journey was selected for it's line-- Oh, the movie never dies, It goes on and on and on and on. Well that might be reaching, But hey you never know. I will stick to he was killed.

  • @zedorf dude he said what happends WHEN u die, it turns black. not HOW he dies

  • @zedorf yeah... but still, for the sake of it, the killer was the sketchy fucker who kept glancing at Tony and then went to the bathroom.

  • The New York crew potentially wanted Tony dead because Phil was brutally hurt (head crushed by vehicle) and this could be viewed as "on purpose" due to Tony curb stomping Coco. There's a lot more and you can find the info by googling it.

  • For anyone interested in who might have caused Tony's death, some believe that Rhiannon (AJ's girl) ratted out their location (as she was the only one who knew where they were going) to Patsy Parisi who then told (possibly) the New York crew. Additionally, being a made man you have to kill someone as Tony had to do this when he was 22. Members Only becomes a "made man" (MADE in America) by killing Tony, a full circle.

  • I have a theory and you can all take it or leave it. Watch the scene again in full andpay full attention to A.J.

I believe A.J. either killed Tony or hired someone to do it for him.

  • this was the worst ending to a series i've seen, because there is no ending. I would have preferred even a downer ending instead of literally nothing.

  • @TheSlickAndroid Nothingness is one of the most important and uniquely used devices in literature. So there is something since nothing is something. ;) Just because you don't understand doesn't mean there isn't an ending.

  • @TheElitist26 I can accept an ambiguous ending. I'm just saying this just felt like someone accidentally turned off the recording.

  • Chase thinks he's so smart. So smart that he didn't leave a hint to who took Tony's life.

  • so if tony was killed, who ordered the hit??

  • is it just me or did Tony raid Charlie Sheen's wordrobe...

  • I'm pretty sure this is the worst song in the whole series. Tony finally makes it from the 50s into the 70s... Congratulations fat man...

  • I think its sweet that when that song by the 'Journey' starts Carmella walks in and it reminds me of when we are told that Tony married his 'high-school-SWEETHEART'!.......

  • He shot shot, get over it.

    Great ending.

  • Here's one. The Members only guy is actually Tony's body guard who gets up to take a leak, or check the mens room for hidden dangers. The two black guys walk in to kill Tony and the bodyguard emerges from the rest room at the same time resulting in some major carnage.

  • the thing to remember is the mafia has some standards and families never get touched...so they would never do a hit with family members around...if they did the other families would turn against the family that did this.

  • @dollaj1 Yet Phil Leotardo was killed – quite gruesomely – in front of his wife, and prior to that they believed they had killed him as well as his "goomar" (in fact it was the woman's dad, who looked like Phil). Maybe that's partly why what very probably happened, happened, though...

  • @idiosyncrazy1980 Firstly the "goomar" and her dad were not in any way blood related to a member of any family so they were expendable. And secondly yeah you kind of got me on your first point, but i suppose at the pinnacle of a war rulebooks may go out the window. Maybe thats why Tony moved his family out their house.

  • I had my own theory but i am now sure of it. THE SONG IS THE ANSWER No songs used are innocent! Google 'song lyrics it goes on and on', 1st find is best.

The 2 1st lyric paragraph is about Tony and his wife or just his familly here enjoying dinner. The next 2 paragraphs is about the mob and how it will never end. Its like life its an endles circle! This show is left open because there is no end to life not even death. The last paragraphs is to the watchers: Thank you for your love, keep watchin

  • Tony grabbed a chain and slowly lowered himself into a pit of lava. Right before he disappears, Tony gives John Conner a thumbs up...........

  • @morugaa hm thats pretty compelling

  • One big clue was the members only jacket itself that guy had on.In episode 1(members only) of season 6 part 1 Eugene hangs himself as Tony wont let him & his wife retire to Florida with inheritance money .Before his wife had said "you should put a fucking bullet in his head" in refering to Tony.Eugene always wore a members only jacket. Also Eugene shoots a guy with initials T.S. in that episode(in a diner).Junior shoots Tony in that same episode.Eugenes wife had money & motive to hire a hitman.

  • @morugaa hahahaha u think eugene's wife got the boss of a mafia family killed????that's bullshit. so why was the killer wearing eugene's members only jacket? was this some form of payment?

  • I think the episode when he shot Pussy on the boat was the one where he wakes up in bed in a cold sweat and says to Carm that he had a nightmare he was dead and it was total blackness. That was the episode he had food poisoning.Point being he did actually mention death being total blackness just not in that boat scene with Bobby.

  • i think chase should make a new series with the title as the man in the members only jacket's name. though, no one knows it, and the series ends with the uncut ending of the sopranos

  • Has anyone noticed that the mural on the back wall looks incredibly like the 'inn at the oaks' which tony visits during his coma and entering this inn was symbolic of him dying, compare the two images together, and notice the way in which tony for a moment looks curiously at this image. Chase and his crew designed this mural themselves.

  • Maybe the point is that this is what the World will be like for Tony,,,,we're drawn into his paranoia...always looking over his shoulder and never at ease. If it isn't this time and this place he gets whacked, then it'll be some other time and place or a prison cell for life. On the theme that he get's whacked though, New York would have to sell the whacking of a big boss (Leotardo) by a small family and what better than taking out the leader of said small family?

  • The guy going to the bathroom and coming out to kill tony is paying respect again to the God Father.... the famous scene where Michael does the same thing. Finally, remember Tony was asked what he thought happened when he dies in this season. He said... Nothing happens... its just black. Nothingness.

  • You are missing some key things, ONE, The orange cat on the sports mural. If you remember there was an orange cat in the episode. Francis Ford Copala used the color orange in the God Father to foreshadow death. This scene is a funeral. Watch how each person eats the onion ring like a christian wafer. Why does chase show a close up if each of them doing it unless it has meaning. Listen to AJ say something about his dad like he would at his funeral. You use to say remember the good times.

  • @loureedcool Great Points!

  • I didnt like the red font, hard to read.

  • Scene goes to black after Meadow comes through the door. Meadow couldn't park the car correctly because she was nervous and was rushing. She killed Tony!!

  • Remember when Tony and Carmelo were vacationing with Janice and her husband and he said that when you die, everything goes black..you don' hear or feel anything, everything goes black.

There you have it. Tony is dead.

  • @ValleyGyrlTV

That's not true. Bobby said, "You probably don't even hear it when it happens, right?" Nothing about "going black."

  • meadows pregoo

  • Look, the show just ended right there. No dramatic scenarios. Happy Trails. I can't see Chase not coming back to have a little fun (and making mega-bucks) from a spinoff. My bet is that Meadow is the lawyer and brains of the family and AJ is the muscle. Then there is a classic struggle between the muscle/brains part of an organization. Like Castilano and Gotti.

  • wow no offense, but this video was really stupid. i mean especially scenarios 2 and 3.

  • everyone needs to chill, the ending is whay ever anybody wants it to be, i like to think everything is all good and nobody gets shot, cause lets face it, we dont see anything happen to anybody, so lets just say meadow enters and they all have a goood meal, before tony takes carmella home and gives her a good bumming! damn shes hot

  • The man in the members only jacket was hired to kill meadow. He didn't kill her and as soon as he heard her car (finally) park, he left for the bathroom, giving tony a look of (sorry bro..sorry).

To Tony's life shattering dismay, just when everything was settled in life (he has onion rings and journey), he hears the bell and looks up to see that bitch still alive.

  • I think that shortly before Carmela enters the restaurant, one of her bodyguards hired by Tony enters. Even closer to each other, moving like a friendly team, A.J. and his bodyguard enters. The man may look suspicious from the counter, but he is actually friendly and worries about A.J. and the Sopranos. Then the killer of A.J. moves into position when A.J.’s bodyguard visits the men’s room. THE TWO BLACK GUYS KILLED A.J. ONE OF THEM IS THAT SOMALI GUY, WHO A.J. AND HIS FRINDS BEAT UP

  • @condedookan That's just stupid.

  • the “black screen”, is for A.J. , you have to see life through the eyes of the person being killed. As the camera shows Tony, it cant be him. It has to be the person looking at him, and that is from this angle of view his son A.J. As Tony is still worried by possible reactions to the killing of Phil Leotardo, he had arranged for body guards to protect his family members. The peoples in the restaurant are body guards, but one is the killer.

  • Also the episode when tony got shot was called 'Members only'

  • Also, if Chase's intention was to keep profiting from it, leaving an open ending with a classic cliffhanger would have been much more safer than cutting to black.

This cutting to black has a very specific symbolism, and there are several clues in the last season (and in the last episode) about its meaning.

  • Forget about the analysis of the stories and the plausible scenarios of WHY it could have happened.

Disregard any accusation of commercialism (leaving like that for a 7th season, etc...), David Chase wouldn't sell his soul to the devil like that, we can see that in the consistent artistic integrity throughout the seasons.

To fully appreciate the elegance of this finale you must be able to understand the the symbolism and the metaphors that are used in the series. If you can't see them, it sucks.

  • You seem to be overlooking some of the dramatic devices used throughout the scene. You'll notice a pattern of a shot of Tony followed by a pov shot. The last shot follows this. A shot of Tony, then black, which is what Tony saw. Also, there are numerous references to earlier key episodes such as the episode "Members Only" in which Tony and Bobby discuss death. One key quote was Bobby saying "you probably don't even hear it when it happens" which is true since bullets travel faster than sound.

  • Its all open to suggestion obviously...I think one of the ideas is that your not absolutely sure it was Meadow who walked through the door...

  • The reason Why the toney couldn't of been killed by mebers only jacket is because the dorr bell rang and toney looks up. The Man would have to come out of the bathroom and kill toney but how did the door bel ring. He looked up and saw meadow and the series ended.

  • The series ended and that is that. No analysis needed. Life still continues as before.

  • Tony got shot end of story.

  • The "Man in Members Only Jacket" could also be an FBI agent keeping tabs on the family or preparing to make an arrest. Now, as to why he waited this long to arrest Tony's another story.

  • Wast of time to anyone seriously interested in what the ending means, but funny enough. It's certainly not a "fact" that Member's Only guy wants to do something to Tony. The scene is rigidly and perfectly timed. When he looks in Tony's direction, it's right after someone laughs in the background. He could be looking at that. The whole scene is a brilliant mind -fuck, loaded w/ symbolism.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds Well 1 1/2 miles up the road from my home is the Soprano house. It was a total pain the the ass when they would come "down" here to the "poor" section to shoot. So sad as I am the show is over I dont miss the roads being blocked off and all the chaos shooting caused. Also that house>? The couple who owns it added ON an ADDITION and it looks great. I mean thats what those houses are for right>? So people like me can drive there and dream for a minute.......*sigh*

  • @jerzeytpke You never know. It could happen.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds Aww thats so sweet of you to say. I tell ya I work so hard and its just too expensive here to live in a 1 bedroom apt for $1,300 a MONTH PLUS utilities and all. I lost my job I lost that apt and now Im living worst than ever!! I looked at HOUSES for RENT in Florida>? 2 bedroom nice place the rent is $650! I gre up here and lived my life here but Im gonna have to move. Tell ya what since ya gave me so hope if I ever win the lottery I will share some money with you! I promise.

  • @jerzeytpke Haha. You don't have to split it w/ me. Just loan me a few grand at no interest. Good luck w/ everything. If you do end up moving down there, who knows? you might end up loving it. I guess it depends on who you're leaving behind and who you end up meeting. But you seem friendly enough. I can't imagine you'll have problems meeting people. Good luck.

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds A person is only as good as thier word I buy lottery tickets all the time. I would gladly GIVE you the money no loan. I have to move cause im in a real shit hole here in Jersey. Id be leaving behind well no one. No one that cares anyway. Thanks for the compliment. And remember theres someone out here buying tickets and having that dream and I keep my word. I do hope I make it so I can give to someone as great as you

  • @jerzeytpke Okay, I'll let you give me money, haha. That would be pretty awesome if I get a message a few months from now. "Hey, remember me from YouTube. Well, guess what?" I'll keep my fingers crossed...not for the money, but that everything works out for you. (well, the money, too, haha)

  • @MckyMseNTarotCrds If it takes years Ill still be here on YouTube I WILL contact you. Even if I win $500 on a rub off ticket I promise. And thanks for keeping your fingers crossed...........Christ your person!

  • Carmela looks pretty phine. She looks like a worried goddess. Damn she's hot.

  • this is a description, not an analysis.

  • do you think the song has any signifigance? what do you think it implies?

  • Maybe he already had his gun and he went into the bathroom for a better angle, and it ends when Tony looks up at the door to see Meadow because he sees her and gets destracted, not paying attention to the man in the members only jacket leaving the bathroom and gun drawn.

    Damn ambiguous endings

  • My guess is Tony goes to trial and gets convicted; gets life like John Gotti and dies in prison.

  • your a fuckin idot.

  • Maybe*** damn spell check

  • Manuel meadow was pregnant.Because she had a nervous and scared look on her face and I think the man in the members only jacket clips tony.

  • coco phils guy wanted revenge, (cause tony fucked him up) so he hired a hitman ti kill tony

  • haha sceniario #2 pretty funny

  • horrible video lol

  • Thanks for wasting my time!

  • I can't any of your extremely obvious analyzations seriously with that font. I hate the font.

  • nothing happens to Tony....in real life mafia, there are only 3 ways out, getting wacked/getting pinched/ or getting the fuck outta dodge

  • The Sopranos and the Wire, two greatest TV series ever. I mean in the shots to the guy in the jacket and the two black guy is just too suss, it wouldn't mean something trivial like the guy just had to look around for the toilet(lol?). Either way, he was going to jail anyway. David Chase specifically said that this scene is related to the scene where Silvio didn't know the gun was fired until Gerry hit the floor. I believe the sudden black out was saying its already going on before you know it.

  • What the hell, I was expecting an in-depth actual conclusion. you're "Why did it end when Meadow came through the door?" If you actually were studying this, it should be obvious: They didn't show her because every time they showed the door it was from Tony's perspective. Tony was whacked, most likely quickly from the guy in the bathroom.

  • what a load of shite, you didnt explain anything.however you do have an ecellent knack at explaining the fucking obvious.oh and whats a members only jacket

  • What a cra*py "indepth explanation" !! wat r u, a 2nd grader ??

  • It's obvious to me "Members Only" guy clipped Toney. Him going into the bathroom to get the gun was Chase just paying Homage to the best Gangster Movie ever Made. Plus it gives him a better angle to sneak up on Toney from the side and put two behind his ear. As far as him whacking Carmella and A.J....no way. It's Mob code you don't kill family or kids, come on with this the whole family gets killed or Meadow is the only one to escape stuff. MOJ guy kills Toney, and thats that. end of show.

  • fail

  • annoying font

  • Meadow can't park 4 s#!+ that much we know! Pure speculationary conjecture upfront it reserves her 2 being just a witness rather than a victim!

  • I imagine Tony, Carmela and AJ all getting whacked in the diner just as Meadow walks in - she escapes, the Soprano line lives through her. I guess there were still New York connections left who decided the Sopranos needed to be put out of the picture, even though Leotardo was already dead. What an amazing series - what is it about Tony that we love to follow his life? The danger and unpredictability of each day. The dream sequences in particular are something I admire in this show.

  • Honestly I just think that the members only jacket guy probably had the gun on him, went into the bathroom and pulled it out of his jacket or something before killing Tony. He'd have to be one seriously theatrical guido to try and mimic The Godfather.

  • Scenario #6...the Cub Scouts in the back pull out their Swiss Army knives and cut his guts out in front of his family. They are scouts from the same troop that Junior was in when he was a Cub Scout, seeking revenge for a former alumnus. Those Cub Scouts are very protective of former members.

  • Another scenario was that earlier in the show they showed Det Harris (from the FBI) gathering more info on Tony for those RICO charges he was compliling.

Remember half way through the show, Harris is seen/ heard saying "we finally got him"

Anyways, there is no correct answer. It's left to the individual viewer to think for themselves what happened. This is why this show is LEGENDARY.

  • What a great advert for Journey's "Don't Stop Believing"

  • guy got wiped out whole family...New york crew is New York crew man!!!!!

  • It was a fucking zombie attack! The bell ringing on the door was a hoard of flesh eating cocksuckers trying to kill everyone! Tony is dead live with it.

  • @ojibwayjayceon2 YOU CAN'T BE A FLESHEATING COCKSUCKER! JEEZE!

  • Tony dreaming this

  • Its tony dream.

  • I love the ending, I think Tony's killed. I'd have liked to him to live but for me he's dead. I follow that whole chat with Bobby Jr on the boat theory, you won't hear it coming etc. It's just what I think. Great ending. Fucking best show on TV.

  • Great video, right up to the part where you gave your scenarios. Wow once you actually played a part in this video it turned to shit.

  • I hear Chase to this day still gets hasseled by fans asking him "what did the ending mean?" Is Tony dead? Idiots.

  • Agree with Jaydee928 and hope too that David Chase comes up with another show or else I'm gonna do it myself probably not with HBO.

  • You missed the 2 biggest hints that he dies... go back and watch soprano home movies one more time too see for yourself

  • No intelligent person in Tony's position would EVER sit in a restaurant where someone could walk behind them...That was the 1st mistake. #2 same instance, would never play music in an open area where he could potentially need to HEAR everything....#3 Would never eat some place without @ least 2 bodyguards in strategic locations....ALL this coming off the heels of a "war".....It's bullshit n wouldn't happen.

  • it all to do with tonys point of u, after every sound of the bell tony looks up and from his POV we see what he sees, as the bell sounds for meadow entering we see blackness from tonys POV because he has been shot by the guy coming back from the bathroom, no picture no sound because he's dead. also camera shot lingers on guy going to the toilet to show that when he comes out he has a clear shot at tony

  • This video is garbage.

You can't say "He obviously is going to do something to tony, that's a fact." How is it a fact? cuz he looks at him a bunch? If I was a foot away from the Don of New Jersey at some dive restaurant, I'd look at him too. Then you say "Maybe he's interested in Tony sexually?" Seriously?

There's one more scenario: When he pages through the song list, you can clearly see the message "I'm Alive." You cut that part out. Why won't anybody admit the possibility that Tony lived?

  • @damienmetalwind Or the fact that earlier in Season 5, he looked directly @ a light and the sound of a heart monitor was played...Indicating everything taking place AFTER he was shot by his uncle, took place in his coma......

  • @Chareb94 Interesting point.. What episode was that in?
