It looks like the risers snagged on the cage as it inflated taking the cage up with it. The reason for the deep braking is that the pilot was trying to stall the wing before he left the hill...wise choice!

@andyp412 i think the main reason why he had a problem was because the motor wasn't fastened to the bottom of his harness, if it had the motor would have stayed put and his lines would have rose past it.
