The game is large, yet they never offer you choices, you follow a linear story path, you are rarely given the option of story choice or morality. A karma system they had in Fallout 3 and NV really could of given Skyrim huge re-playability. Many of the skills you are given, you must do long hours of grinding to level them up. The combat was sticky and lacked enemy variety, a majority of the enemies in the game are bandits, draugr and dragons, but rarely anything else.

Along with the fact that the game has made fifty million improvements compared to Oblivion, not to mention that it often puts the player in a state of panic when they meet a new enemy, get overconfident, and attack. Skyrim is a half-arsed game. The only thing Skyrim has: Lot's of content, games are about quality, not quantity.

The combat is repetitive and very average. There are no tactics needed and it isn't difficult at all. The gameplay itself was really just average.

The quests are repetitive fetch quests or dungeon crawls with a bit of story added. All the dungeons are copy-and-pasted.

All the storylines were really boring and basic. The main quest was poor and the game was not memorable.

Whilst it was an improvement from Oblivion, it was barley an improvement compared to Fallout 3. Also, even though Bethesda did not make Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim did wrong with what New Vegas did right and I honestly think Bethesda should of looked for inspiration from New Vegas to make Skyrim.

One thing Skyrim also lacked was story choices, if they added choice, the replay value would of been much higher. Now Skyrim is on my shelf collecting dust never to be touched for 4 years.

Are you sure it doesn't have many story choices? The first time through, I did mostly story, some side quests, some random exploration. Now, I'm doing mostly side quests on a second character, and playing differently too. Sure, the storyline is always very similar, but you can always go about things differently. Which is why people like it so much. They try playing through with different races, which have different abilities. This is purely my opinion, though.
