This "documentary" is Russian propaganda. While many facts are true, some important ones are not. Moreover, the Rape of Berlin, an historical fact, is completely white-washed.
The Russians could easily defeat the Germans in terms of arms, machinery and soldiers. Stalin's military might was in half during the war. The other half is guarding his nation's border against Japan and the rest is watching Hitler's move. All in all the number of his soldiers, arms and machineries is seven times greater than that of Hitler. If it happens that Hitler was the one who rules the Soviet Union he might succeed not only conquering the entire Europe but part of Africa and Asia as well.

He restored Germany's economy, military strength, and pride, and that made him immensely popular with the Germans. He was totalitarian, but the Germans were accustomed to obeying militaristic authority without question. And extremism, both left and right, was on the rise in Europe at the time.

From the west American bomber or their latest flying fortress as they call it dropped tons of bombs to Berlin at day and the Royal Airforce of Great Britain at night. In between are the Russian Air force dropping bombs to Berlin. The Russians are more aggressive than the Allied forces from the west that Stalin ordered his troops to push thru inside Berlin and attack every building and every house inside Berlin.

Before that the British were fighting the Axis in N.Africa,Mid-East and only defeated the Axis end of 1942, U.S troops didnt even arrive till end of 1942, An invasion like D-Day could of only happend in 1944, It was impossible invade 1942, Look at British Dieppe raid 1942.

The Allies could have taken Berlin first, However Operation market-garden failed and the Allies were also making there last moves on Japan, Britain from Asia and the U.S from the Pacific. Soviets played main role during the war it was only right they take Berlin. And Operation Unthinkle was safety plan, Red Army was unstoppable and the Allies thought the Communist would betray them and attack, Operation Unthinkable was a backup plan incase of Soviet attack, COLD WAR 1945!

@8900609 If USA never started fighting in the war, the second world war was longer maybe with 5 years, and maybe the victorious were nazis.
USA helped UK very much, and I don't say that they were the biggest force, but they helped very much in the war.

Russia did not let romanian troops to advance to Berlin.

@Kakos50 Hey, you have no ideea about what Stalin wanted.I see that you don;t know what russia wanted in fact, and romania allied with the Allies, and left the Axis in 23rd of august in 1944 , and in 1945 , romanian troops advanced to Czech Republic, where they were stopped by the Russians, because they wanted to be the ones who raised the flag in Berlin.

I let my bike with it's wheel stuck on a fence, and went home to eat, and when I returned, 3 8 year old gypsies had brocken my wheels and my seat, just to make me feel bad about my bike.

@Kakos50 Kazakshtan is different than Romania.Here gypsies think that they are the center of the universe, and they think they deserve everything.Here, the police has meny problems because their behaviour and their vanity.Sometimes, here, appears a conflict between a family and other family of gypsies, and that , they can kill each other without any remorses.
As well, they steal everything they can, and their motto is: Better one euro in the shade, than two in the sunlight.

Churchill saw that Russia attacked Germany by teritorial interest, and told to Roosvelt.He did not care about it, and than Churchill changed the tactic, and said that the Allies must attack in the Balkans.When Stalin heard, he was like" NO WAY!! You, british soldiers must make pressure on France , and we must concentrate our powers on the Normandy landing."
Then , Roosvelt agreed to Churchill and attacked Italy.He took over all italy, and advanced in the south.
