regardless of mccartneys standing with the critics in the 1970's, he did some really GREAT music. 0:23 sounded a little like geddy lee . THIS SONG RULES
This was the best lineup of Wings- even Paul said so in the book/DVD "Wingspan". McCulloch and Laine were the best guitarists and songwriters the band had then besides Paul
yep...same music as w/o/a...but w/a recut vocal track...common thing w/live lps...regardless, w/o/a is the greatest live rock album ever made...still excites to this day.
let me restate what I just wrote. this IS a live vocal from laine. the one on WOA was redone - because this is a poor vocal performance, this one from live in seattle (which i attended.) so the WOA IS exactly the same, LESS a new, overdubbed in studio live vocal.
no idea why denny's vocals were so poor on WOA. partying?
first of all almost ALL of the backing vocals were redone. however, about the lead vocal on this song it's important to remember that WOA MAY have a version NOT recorded in Seattle. that would account for them not matching. OR ... maybe it simply was redone.
Instrumentally this is the same exact version used on Wings Over America. After playing this version and the WOA version at the same time in sync I'm convinced that they went back and did new vocals and took out the real ones.
you'd be surprised how many times that happens to live albums ... while your playing live in the moment it doesn't matter if you mess up a bit ... but nobody wants a mistake that you can rewind.
i thought lennon was singing this song

Call me stupid, but what's Dennie's guitar in this one?

'It looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page', but it isn't the same.
I've read somewhere that it's a rare Ibanez model.

maccas voice is a little redone on the double album. they added effects to it, so it sounds more thick.

without question laine's lead vocal is redone; Macca backing vocal is NOT redone. nor are the great guitar bits from Jimmy.

Listen to the songs at the same time. It's the same version instrumentally but the lead Vocals are NOT the same.

Is Denny wearing an earring in one ear only or in both ears?

That's a better version than the one on the ROCKSHOW movie! Denny has a powerful voice! He really can drive a Cadillac across the Irish sea!!!
