Well, Lviv was founded by King Danylo Halytsky, and invaded by Poland 100 years after that. So i would disagree that it is polish from the beginning =)
Lviv(Lvov) is Ukrainian city which has Polish roots. We could say the same about Wroclaw(Breslau) as Polish city with German roots. Today Poles and Ukrainians should be allies. We can not change our history, but we could create friendly relationship for future.
Ukrainians hawe to understand that those people who die in Lwiw were fighting for Poland and wanted to set free o polish city that was newer ukrainian.
I think that Ukrainian people hawe to manage with the historical truth and obwious facts if you want to be a part of UE
But those Ukrainians who died in Lviv were fighting for UKRAINE. That's called civil war when citizens of one state kill each other. And both sides could be right in their own way.
I respect all the dead no matter their nationality and motives for fighting. And i also respect the rights of the living to honour the graves and memory of the dead...
...During first and second world wars Polish and Ukrainian people treated each other extremely badly - wasted efforts in slaying and deportating each other in the face of two deadly enemies - nazi and soviet.
But nowadays the obvious fact that Lviv is part of Ukraine. It's not good to try to rewrite borders in Europe in 21th century. Look into the future and try to be objective while considering the past...
...The heart transition is to emphasize the conraversity of the place. But most of all it's just, well in some way, beautiful to shoot the lonely graveyard without any thoughts about who is burried there. Heart is the symbol of life (which is a miracle as you know). Don't be too serious about what you see and read online ;)
I've deleted your previous comment - don't call people idiots. that's the fastest way to be blocked.
oh give me a brake, i hawe right to tell you the truth, nobody will try to rewrite the borders so dont be so over reacted.
I used to be international obserwer in odessa while the "orange rewolution" took place. Do you realy think that anyone in Poland would like to change the borders. Hey body Poland is your only chance for EU so stay cool
Ans when im reading some articules in ukrainian niewspapers about polish way of treating Ukrain that make me seek.
In one of the articules one jurnalist is suprised how polish people react on the news that he is from Lwiw. " Oh uor polish Lwów!!" "As far as he know Lwów was newer polish?!!!" hehehehehehe gog joke body.
And he feal that Poland is supporting ukrain to take kontrol of western Ukrainian what a IDIOT he is!!!
I hawe a lot of respect for ukrainians but that make me seek realy. Why do people think that Poland want o change
borders? That anyone from polish oficials was saying such a crap? No Poland support Ukrain on the Orange rewoltion Poland was the first country on the world that houred independent Ukrain polish people shout ( i was one of them) in the cold night in Warsaw in front of the Ukrainiuan embasyy " Kijów Warszawa wspólna sprawa!!!! Do you understand!!!!!
but you hawe to manage with your history and your crimes.
We said that we soryy for pawlokoma where polish resistance killed inocente ukrainian people. we hawe a courage to mange with our crimes and waht about Ukrain?
You dont want to hear a stories what ukrainias did with polish people did any one think about it i this way?

Lvov is a Polanian (Polish) city from the beginning. Ukrainians and Polanians are brothers, Poland support Ukraine and are Ukraines biggest allies.

The Poles have peculiar attitude to Lwow. This is something like fondness but has no common with claims.

Pyrodog, you're a dickhead, but never mind.
By the way, Lvow has always been a Polish city, unfortunatelly, temporarily its under ukrainian administration. We'll be back

So, if I understood you correctly, you're warning Ukrainian administration that they should prepare more place at the cemetery.
