  • So basically, you have to outline frame by frame to recreate this animated? Photoshop or something like that?

    It was traced frame-by-frame on to transparencies using a wax pencil, then scanned in and cleaned up.

    It was easier to control the line quality that way. You could do it in Photoshop too though.
