Albert, the process will work on wood, but as you can see it must be dipped in water. Therefore i always recommend that the wood have a good lacquer or protective finish on i before the process is applied.
could you apply this to an all metal firearm, like an AK or AR, if so do you need to plug the barrel to keep this out of the barrel, or will it burn/peel out on firing?

@bennaz123 I can tell you it would work, but you'd have to dissasemble your controller (which voids the warranty), water and electrinics don't mix well.
It is possible, you just would use a different technique in order to make sure you didn't get a huge air pocket!
