I am a pro Magician. I watched the video again. Just how do you think this trick is done? Some of the close ups may give you some kind of idea. Blame the director not the Magi. I did this trick for years and Richiardi's was one of the greats. Yes, secrets are important to a point. Magic is a performance art. I look at the style.
@thenewhorizons You people are sad. Einstein said," there are two types of people in the world, those who believe everything is magical and those that don't" I know which one I am. Which one are you?
@thenewhorizons This is one performance of the trick on T.V. Richiardi was one of the great magicians of the last century. T.V. was and is never kind to classic magic. Thats why we now have fakers like Chris Angel. magic is one percent secret and 99 percent performance. Copperfield claims he stole Richiardi's style. Look up other shows of the master on you tube, and just enjoy one of the greats. Easy to be a critic, not so easy to create art.
@ClassicShowbiz Once they sell out of the Best Of collections, they will start selling the full episodes. Oldest trick in the book. Get people to buy something twice. Eg. Release a Harry Potter movie on DVD with no special features. One year later after all Harry Potter fans have purchased the first release, they release a Two Disc special edition, which is promptly snapped up by all fans again because they want the special features. Two years later release a three disc edition with magic wand

@imyy4upeople1 Right before he grabs the blades @ 1:43, if you pause the video, you can see the thread wrapped around the blades.

@SLYGARR I'm thrilled by great magicians. But learning their secrets ruins everything. I like NOT knowing how it's done!

he is dealing with blunt blades; you can tell the paper is precut at 0:59, and the blade at 2:40 would have cut his lips if it was sharp

Why not release full episodes on DVD instead of these crummy "Best Of" collections. Pathetic.
