It's possible to make jokes about tragedies. It's possible to make jokes that are offensive and still extremely funny even to the audience who would be offended by them. Well, it's not the first time he's done this kind of crap. He was making 9/11 jokes the day after it happened.about that. I guess his own poor impulse control finally bit him in the ass.
It's not that I find his jokes too hard for me to handle personally, I really could care less about his semi-successful career. But, on behalf of the people that are a bit more sensitive about this, or people who lost loved ones or friends, his timing was complete and utter shit.

im not japenese, but i respect them with all my heart. i had my whole life planned out to move their and graduating from college there. my whole career was planned in japan. now my whole plan for the future is ruined, and people are making JOKES about this? this is like making jokes about 9/11. I chuckled at one or two. The others were crap. As for whether he should have been fired, I can see why they did it but I'm not sure whether I agree or not. He didn't really mean to do this as a representative of aflac but as a comedian but at the same time......he kind of is one regardless.
