Yeah considering you only get to use the key on one computer only. With windows you can use it on all of the computers you have with no cost to the consumer. Yes I would consider that a lot of the flaws were ironed out of vista now but the fact that either system is flawless, that is false. To be totally honest with you, I would put my moneys worth on the Toshiba Qosmo X 305. Dual 9800 GTS' in SLI. Apple doesn't have anything close to that. $1500 with Apple, you get cheap hardware.

My friend you as far from the truth as possible. Mac OS X is not only much less expensive (as well as more efficient), it can be installed on any computer you wish. I have done this for over 10 years, never had a problem. Unlike my father's PC, which would not validate the Microsoft Office suite PRE-INSTALLED from the "Authentication" sticker placed ON THE TOWER!
As far as hardware is concerned, no machine is more precision designed and durable (per class) as a Apple machine.

Putting everything else aside and just looking at the core of OSX and Vista, OSX wins hands down. It's just better. There are drawbacks to having a Mac, but there are also drawbacks to having a PC. There's really no sense in having an argument because people will choose what they want anyway. A PC for compatibility, and a Mac for a seamless integration of hardware and software. I prefer Mac, but I can understand why others prefer a PC.
One point I wanna make (i totally agree with you though,) that there is still IBM, Dell, Alienware and emachines who all are computer manufacturers other than just Microsoft (with gateway) and Apple (with macs). They might depend on Apple, Microsoft, or Linux for an OS, but your OS doesn't define your computer's performance (which a PC can deliver the best due to the fact that most PC's can be upgraded easily in terms of hardware and even software updates).
I understand that most users know how windows works and prefer it over mac because they're used to it. I was introduced to both mac and pc at around the same time, so they both had a fair chance. It is so much easier to do ANYTHING! There are many other uses for macintosh besides design and editing!
I have a macbook 2 gen old and an iMac 2 gen old. Bought around the same time. My iMac is a bit faster when it comes to games, but my macbook does exceptionally well for a laptop

Pfft, Microsoft's been copying Apple since the 80's. Microsoft seems to think that stealing ideas from smaller, more productive companies is 'innovation'.
This ad, however, is showing just how Microsoft is burnt from the Apple ads. If Apple truly wasn't doing any damage to Microsoft with it's ads, Microsoft wouldn't have started this ad campaign. Also, if what Apple said couldn't be denied by even Microsoft, then these ads might actually have reasons for Window's apparent superiority.
Microsoft gets the majority of it's profits from Windows licensing fees that it forced on to nearly all OEMs. This ad is doing what it can to protect Microsoft's monopoly methinks.

Not true. Bootcamp runs Windows natively, it's not emulation. There is emulation software of course.
Also, you'll need to prove a pc can run OS X, the OS Apple made specifically to run on macs (and only macs), better than a mac can, granted it cost the same at retail. I haven't seen any source of tech news claim that, although I have seen some sites claim a mac runs Windows better than a pc...
And besides, why would I want to run Windows on this mac? Games? I'd prefer the extra 15 gigs HD...

Will someone PU-LEAZE do a parody of these? They're just begging for it. Gather all the nerdy friends you know, and position them in front of their ridiculously video-game centric systems, and go from one to the next "I'm a PC" "I'm a PC, and I play videogames" "I'm a PC, and I kill n00bs" etc.
Similar concept would be good for office workers in cubicles.

1. I can browse the internet without worry of viruses without having to buy virus protection.
2. I can use professional video and photo editing software (full version, not a trial) for free, out of the box.
3. I have a stable OS, which rarely has any issues.
4. All professional programs are made for mac, or mac and pc (anything made only for PC is crap!)
5. My computer is compatible with EVERYTHING! No driver problems and such
As you can see, Mac is the superior computer!

Putting everything else aside and just looking at the core of OSX and Vista, OSX wins hands down. It's just better. There are drawbacks to having a Mac, but there are also drawbacks to having a PC. There's really no sense in having an argument because people will choose what they want anyway. A PC for compatibility, and a Mac for a seamless integration of hardware and software. I prefer Mac, but I can understand why others prefer a PC.

One point I wanna make (i totally agree with you though,) that there is still IBM, Dell, Alienware and emachines who all are computer manufacturers other than just Microsoft (with gateway) and Apple (with macs). They might depend on Apple, Microsoft, or Linux for an OS, but your OS doesn't define your computer's performance (which a PC can deliver the best due to the fact that most PC's can be upgraded easily in terms of hardware and even software updates).

I understand that most users know how windows works and prefer it over mac because they're used to it. I was introduced to both mac and pc at around the same time, so they both had a fair chance. It is so much easier to do ANYTHING! There are many other uses for macintosh besides design and editing!
I have a macbook 2 gen old and an iMac 2 gen old. Bought around the same time. My iMac is a bit faster when it comes to games, but my macbook does exceptionally well for a laptop

You do know that people are also abandoning Linux and Apple computers for Microsoft too? I'm one of them, and this advert had no say in the decision.

What's with the whole pc thing anyway? Pc doesn't mean running windows, it is a #%$#% personal computer! But to stay in stereotype, it can also run Linux, Solaris, well... etc. etc...

Pfft, Microsoft's been copying Apple since the 80's. Microsoft seems to think that stealing ideas from smaller, more productive companies is 'innovation'.
This ad, however, is showing just how Microsoft is burnt from the Apple ads. If Apple truly wasn't doing any damage to Microsoft with it's ads, Microsoft wouldn't have started this ad campaign. Also, if what Apple said couldn't be denied by even Microsoft, then these ads might actually have reasons for Window's apparent superiority.

Microsoft gets the majority of it's profits from Windows licensing fees that it forced on to nearly all OEMs. This ad is doing what it can to protect Microsoft's monopoly methinks.

Hmmm I have a desktop PC and a Macbook... they are both good machines, they both have issues sometimes but what's important if you can get your work done and use it for personal use then thats fine. It is easier and cheaper to buy a pc in the rest of the world. I wish MAC would do that!!!

Not true. Bootcamp runs Windows natively, it's not emulation. There is emulation software of course.
Also, you'll need to prove a pc can run OS X, the OS Apple made specifically to run on macs (and only macs), better than a mac can, granted it cost the same at retail. I haven't seen any source of tech news claim that, although I have seen some sites claim a mac runs Windows better than a pc...
And besides, why would I want to run Windows on this mac? Games? I'd prefer the extra 15 gigs HD...

There are plenty of tech news sites explaining how easy it is to dualboot windows and the latest mac osx.
Dualbooting has been available long before apple's so called "innovation" bootcamp.

Most games are a CD or DVD worth, and vista is only a DVD worth without sys restore.
Besides, why are you so precious of 15gb?
Does apple give you so little space on those macs?
I bought a 160gb a few years ago for $50 aud, and now that theyre cheaper i added an extra 500gb for around the same price.
