Shine hovering is great for throwing your opponent off. You wouldn't believe how many times someone tried edgeguarding me and even a single shine threw them off track.

A lot of people say Fox was nerfed, and I kind of agree, but I think he just requires a more cerebral take on things. Approaches and edgeguarding are always thrown off by strategic shine hovering.

Fox knows wall kicks, make a custom stage with 4 tubes where you shall make a falling block where you start on, if not, set spikes on the top of the tubes, and fox does wall kicks shine (Reflector) Hover!

If you do this with the people who just hang on the edge so you can't recover, just hover a bit until they:

a. Fall off from hanging there so long.

b. Climb back up

c. Get tired of waiting and try and attck you.

Then just use the B-side move or B-up move to save yourself.

Slow-fall was in Melee, but not to this degree, Shine had a longer delay.

It isn't a useless video since:

1. It shows it's STILL here (Unlike Wavedashing)

2. It shows how effective it is in the new game.

Dude, I understand what you're saying but the Wavedash thing is different. Wavedashing in Melee was somewhat of a glitch and wasn't intended to be in the game, while the Slow-fall with the Shine was.

And yeah the effectiveness was obviously gonna be brought up.

I don't see how it was 'obviously' going to be further empowered, personally. I would think everyone was in the dark as to how moves would be modified (Unless they were truely over-powered, Ex. Knee)

However, the video still does serve the purpose of showing that this function of Shine still exists. If you don't like washdashing as an example, then how about Mario's Down+B? Or Falco's reflector that greatly altered his play style?
