  • shooting mentos at people with a machine gun.......not a good idea.

  • oh GOd no

  • The helmets actually saved some of them , a point blank shot with some specific calibers bullets will go through but it isnt always point blank and it helps to deflect the bullet.

Also protects a soldier's face from rain or any element that can get in his face from some angles like when a grenade explodes near him etc etc.I am sure theres others pros that I cant think of now though.

  • 0:10 is lip sync'd

  • what's the point of those helmets if the bullets go right through them? so they don't hit their heads on the boat frame?

  • @pillarsofserpents The helmets are designed to deflect shrapnel, and have even deflected pistol rounds and stray rifle rounds, but there is no head gear on this planet that is going to stop a 30-50 caliber machine gun slug from entering your melon. It's supposed to protect you from everything else though.

  • @TheFinalParadigm - NOT GOOD ENOUGH! ha

  • 0:09 mentos overdose

  • sucked all it is Mentos song over a Saving Private Ryan scene. lame try harder

  • What I find equally humorous is how people are arguing politics over this. XD

  • mentos win wars

  • i laughed

  • Mentos liberated france! viva la mentos!

  • At 0:06 the soldier puts mentos in his mouth

  • @masiownz

lol if only mentos made chewing tobacco :(

  • You really are not supose to make fun with this but......... xD

  • the problem is, that tom hanks doesn'T eat the mentos but onother guy. but then tom hanks survives. but in the commercials the people who eat mentos are always the winners in the end.

  • I feel like so many people making these videos just don't understand the structure of Mentos commercials AT ALL. The idea is that the character has a problem and is able to overcome it (usually creatively) after taking a Mentos. It doesn't make sense to just put the Mentos music over any random movie scenes.

  • @yshudjs Yeah, most of these probably fit more with the 'something happens while inapropriate music is played' category

  • Fags stuff Mentos up their Butts to make theer Anus fresh and scented!

  • nope

  • I was expecting him to use the mirror to peek around the corner or some other clever idea. The entire joke is cheerful music with tragic video and has nothing to do with the mentos ads at all. :(

  • IT NEEDS MENTOS

  • Wow. Speaking from someone actually in the Army.. Watching this during a duty day.. This is.. HILARIOUS.. I Laughed out loud. Getting on the beach was the actual coup de gras. In a sense, the creator made this almost poetic to really understand.

  • not funny at all

  • this one is pretty stupid, and im not looking it as a hippy kind of way, its just a lack of effort on the makers part

  • Actually, it isn't funny. Scarface, Goodfellas, Terminator, Bloodsport, Saw. Those are all absolutely hilarious Mentos commericals. This is ridiculous. Thousands of Americans knew they would die, and they went anyway. Who knows what the world is like today without their courage that day. Go visit Omaha Beach and tell me this is funny. There are plenty of other great action movies to make fun of. My grandfather knew dozens that died that day.

  • the fact that you're offended makes this hilarious.

  • @pupitMastr You just saw a video of actors pretending to get shot with a song from an old commercial.

  • @pupitMastr well, i can see your grandfather being offended, but not you, sorry. and fyi, even if the americans had not joined the war, russia would not have stopped fighting until hitler was gone. it would have been more difficult, but germany was doomed the day it invaded russia. ill go visit omaha beach, fuck, ill watch it ON omaha beach and still laugh! in any case, the nazis lost. please stop trying to be a nazi by telling people what they are allowed to find humor in. thanks!

  • @kakashi76767 not necessarily, the USSR didnt have the technology to win wars back then, only the numbers... for the ppl that lived there it was either die by stalin's decree or die with a fighting chance in battle...

the reason why this mentos one isnt so much funny imo is cuz it makes no reference to mentos save for the song as opposed to the van damme one which is loads funnier

  • @jackofnowhere the USSR most certainly did have the technology to win! By 1943 they were producing far more tanks and planes than the germans. Say what you want about Stalin's methods, but shit got done. In some ways, the ussr was superior to germany in tech. For example, the Russians used fuel mixtures that didnt freeze at sub zero temps, and the germans did not. God damn i hate bullshitters!

  • @kakashi76767 the antifreeze is irrelevant as a technological superiority its main purpose was to be used on USSR land where the winter was too cold for effective invasions by germans and not used on german soil...the production of airplanes, etc. isnt greater technology, only greater resources thus pointing out the USSR DID need the help of the Americans, the English, the French, etc. for their resources AND the strategy of fighting a two front war. in other words, Russia= Def, the west= Offense

  • @jackofnowhere Jesus Christ...(facepalm) Number of German deaths on the Russian (Eastern) front: 5,178,000. Number of German deaths on the Allied (Western) front: 996,306. German casualties during entire Normandy invasion : 120,000. German casualties at Kursk: 203,000. at Leningrad: 500,000. at Stalingrad: 750,000 (plus 91,000 captured). Do you see how the German losses against Russia are much higher than their losses against the allies? Did the allies just not feel like killing more?

  • @kakashi76767 duuude number of german deaths is far less than the 27M that Russia suffered at the end of the war and your numbers actually proves that the two front strategy was crucial to the allies. In 1941, Hitler wanted to remove the USSR as a military power, that was his main objective other than gaining more lebensraum so its only natural that there is bigger loss of soldiers to USSR. And i'll point this out again, the WINTER makes it hard to invade USSR thus higher german casualties

  • @jackofnowhere Yes, WINTER makes it hard to invade the USSR. The 8 million soldiers who died also made it difficult (about 14 million russian deaths were civilians, many of them Jews taken to concentration camps or killed on the spot). These facts prove my original point! "Germany was doomed the day it invaded Russia". The Russians in no way needed the allies. By 1944 there were only 1.5 million German soldiers on the entire Western front. The Russians had killed 3x that many by 1944!

  • @kakashi76767 lol we can go on and on since its an opinionated topic... i'll just close with saying that since its a two front war, the USSR had the advantage of a battle plan with the other allies (again, as well as material support) in order to actually gain an upper hand hence they do need the allies...it was the soviets who pushed for a d-day invasion (3 yrs), if they didnt need help they wouldnt have asked for it...

  • this is almost not funny. but it is.
