I have very harsh opinions of criminals. Hell, I actually think having the death penalty in my country (Australia) would be a good thing. I don't know this man and all I have seen of him is this video clip, but it takes a lot come clean like he did. The fact that he felt so bad having inadvertently kidnapping a child does show that he regrets doing what he did. That, to me, shows that there is some good in him. I hope that he has learned from this and turns his life around

But taking prescription drugs that kill thousands is perfectly legal and in some cases forced. I understand the media convinces people that drugs are something that only criminals use but it is an addiction just like chocolate or coffee(although less damaging). I understand that people associate drugs and criminals, but if that is the case than all these drug companies are drug lord scum?
The crime is the theft, not the drug taking. Take your pick from an infinite number of reasons for stealing something.
The one thing we're all "encouraged" to NEED in our lifetime is "money". So, you're right, people steal money to support their addictions; but those addictions don't necessarily have anything whatsoever to do with drugs.
