Great Video! I'm gonna try! quick question? I see a lot of people use tumeric and is this to change the color only? I do want it to look like eggs! LOL
@MrSexxxy20 I used to be, but now it's become a serious staple in my diet - You can blend it and make yogurt, sauces, soups, ice cream - make scrambles like these - slice and incorporate with seitan (check seitan out if you haven't already) - just tons of stuff besides the regular pan fry hahah i love it
Great recipe! I've bene buuying the boxed tofu scrambler mix from Fantastic World Foods, but I'm going to give yours a try. Any concerns that soy is reported to inhibit the production of testosterone in men?? This has always worried me into looking for other alternatives to tofu.
@notreallydaedalus Terracotta is naturally porous and absorbs water. Living in a humid environment, this helps keep salt dry and ready to use. Plus, it is pretty. :)
@nebraskafrankcourtny It started for me when I learned about food practices, then into more. Now I just feel better not eating meat and do not miss that as a part of my diet. And you?
@Joelluks I've been vegetarian for 9 years, then became vegan around the start of 2010. I do it for the animals. Going vegan, from vegetarian, seemed a way bigger shift than when I went vegetarian 9 years ago! : )
I made it!! This morning for breakfast!! My first scrambled tofu! I cannot believe i made it myself, and how satisfying and delicious it is! I finally realize I don't have to "miss eggs"! Ha ha! Thank you so much for the helpful video! (I didn't have your exact same ingredients. I used onions, broccoli, cilantro, tofu, hummus, Braggs aminos, nutritional yeast, curry, and cumin (also olive oil, salt, pepper). It is so good, it's ADDICTING! Ha ha!
@nebraskafrankcourtny Wonderful!!! Yes. Its good to treat it as a base technique then have fun with it. I love mine with spinach sometimes, artichokes. So good. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you - - I watched a bunch of "scrambled tofu" videos this morning, and THIS one is the best. I've been vegan only 4 months, and really miss eggs. I think this will be a good substitute, and I'm going to try it!!
Looks great, how many serves have you made please.?

@cozmo1303 A block of tofu + veggies makes four servings. If you have a hungry bunch, make more :)

@shelita521 It does give it a yellow hue, but also some taste. Turmeric has also great medicinal qualities, so I use it a lot.

Was that a terra cotta container your salt was in? Why do you use that?

That looks great, I'm definitely going to try it.
Thank you for explaining the reasons for adding each spice and herb, by the way, no one ever does that, and it's really educational ^^.

Thanks! Let me know how you like it. I made it this morning again and had it with chopped tomatoes on a flour tortilla. Delish!

Yummy! I am going to make this on Saturday morning, only instead of mushrooms (which my kids don't like) I think I'll use spinach and peppers.
