@Birutegal ---> It doesn't take much research to determine that Chevron and Exxon Mobil have a serious stake in this Iraqi legislation, through no bid contracts and guaranteed profit agreements. You're right that opponents do not articulate their criticisms as well as they could, but it is also important that the stated USA position on Iraq has to do with everything BUT oil. On the UN, one has to wonder about making strides within it, as opposed to trashing it. All choices, with consequences.
