  • Ah Im only 13 but I've seen tons of the old rides and attractions , I really wish there were these nice family enjoyable rides and attractions, Instead of having nice medium roller coasters (Like the Racer Which I LOVE) Im stuck blowing my mind with horrifing ones

  • Wow! Before The Beast!! And Kings Island used to have Dolphins???!?? Crazy.

  • Very cool stuff! I feel that the best thing about Youtube is when old memories like this are shared. Thanks a lot! :)

  • I see the Monorail at Jungle Jims and wonder why he never set it up to be used. He says that he spent a lot of money improving it, but he just lets it sit there. Go figure.

  • Great Flick!!

  • People having great fun over 36 years ago without iphones laptops or other nowadays fun!

  • OMG! I remember so much of this.... I went in 1972 when it first opened. I had just graduated high school and some friends and I went to Kings Island after graduation. Thank you for posting this...

  • Thankyou... I remember when I was 5 and used to drive those cars thinking it was real:) I wonder how much a 1975 camera cost though :D

  • OMG I REMMEBR THE cars that were old fords\

  • Gosh remember when they actually p icked you up in the parking lot and all the names they had for the rows. I was 8 in 75, we thought it was the best thing ever!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this video. I was 10 yrs old back in 1975 and growing up in Indianapolis, IN, my family and friends went to Kings Island every summer. This brought back a flood of memories of a much innocent time

  • I went there for the first time back in 78. This is how I will always remember the park. Watching this makes me really miss the old King's Island.

  • ehh planet snoopy ruined it

  • @aerosmithbeatles true. I liked when it was Paramount's

  • cool

  • what were those things that wen t across the park in the air at 0:07?

  • @bohrokthunder That was the Sky Ride (1972-1980) The Sky Ride ran between Oktoberfest and The Happy Land of Hanna-Barbera, crossing International Street.

  • @tamisclock oh cool

  • i think that the toomb raider ride is right where the big log flume used to be

  • If you go to jungle Jim's in fairfield you can see the old monorail from the safari ride, looks like it's up and running too!

  • @beoctober i live in fairfield and yes themonorail is there but no its not running... i really wish it was

  • 1975 or 76 was the first year my husband and I went to Kings Island, both of us still in high school! We spent many summers going there. I can still smell it, taste it, hear it, see it. Makes me sad. He has passed away, and my emotions are mixed watching this. Thanks anyway - it was the best of times.

  • The skyline looks so weird without D-back and all.

  • I love it...i would be 2...great vid!

  • 0:53

    A wild Raticate appears!

    Or is that a Scabber?

  • They took out the cars when the price of gas went up. They also probably got tired of fixing them. There was always a line of cars that were out of service. I really miss the old Kings Island. They started adding new rides so they could raise the prices. Then they had to do it every year to raise the ticket price again. They ran out of room so they took out our favorite rides.

  • that was awesome, loved watching that since i was 2 at the time and remembering all that...lol thanks for posting

  • How I sooo miss the old Kings Island. I wish my daughter could experience the park the way I did. Hanna Barbera was the best! The dolphin show, the monorail, antique cars! And having the shuttle service @ the parking lot if you did not want too walk. Wished it could have stayed that way :)

  • The hair, the cloths, the 70's! My first amusment park, after going to a "Reds" game in 1975. I liked the old park. Anyone know how much it has changed?

  • I still have the '75 guidebook. Love those shots of the skyride & Zodiac! Thanks for sharing.

  • @originalpalmer They took out the Old Fashioned Cars so they could put in a new rollercoaster called the Blacklot Stunt coaster, oringinally called the Italian Job I believe based on a movie or video game, possibly both.

  • I'm so glad my kids got the chance to ride the Old fasioned cars before Kings Island got rid of them.

  • Employees with white belts.. Ha Ha!.. I miss the big slide, why would they have removed it... The Hanna Barbara boat ride. Not on your video but the African Safari Monorail ride.. Back in The Day when Kings Island was nice.

  • I had lots of footage taken from the confines of the Safari ride, but it didn't look any different from seeing animals at a zoo. You didn't actually see the ride itself.

  • @v65animal u read my mind... glad i was there in those days....

  • the dolphin show!! oh how i miss that!!

  • this is when it was affordable to go...lol..oh the memories!! i remeber the slide..i aloved the slide!!

  • I love kings island (does anyone know why they took out the Model T cars I loved them when I was little

P.S Kings island is in Mason Ohio

  • @originalpalmer They took out the Old Fashioned Cars so they could put in a new rollercoaster called the Blacklot Stunt coaster, oringinally called the Italian Job I believe based on a movie or video game, possibly both.
