  • Where's the juice?

  • I place my oak blocks so that the corners fit tightly into the slats of the press. This forces the center straight down. With a little help I am able to extract MOST of the juice. Been making wine for 40 years , always the best.

  • Don't ever buy this. The worst designed piece of equipment in the world. Wooden blocks move around, the whole press needs 2 guys holding it down while another turns the ratchet. Having the spindle going through the middle makes it useless for making the apple 'cheeses' cider makers use (layers of apple for pressing). Absolutely useless!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, I think it could have been more helpful, like the actual putting together of it. I am pressing apples tomorrow, so I am trying to figure out how to do it.

And the friend who let me borrow it said especially for apples you need it bolted down.

  • Would have liked longer video, explaining start to finish product.

  • @evsmarie , true, they are just trying to advertise it. i didn't see anything, did you?

  • Looks like it would be easier to use if was bolted to heavy base.
