  • Where soes this fakk un her body of work? I hadn't heard of "Kitty"!

  • Each line and the way they're delivered - sheer perfection!

  • Patricia Routledge and Victoria Wood. Genius.

  • Such a gay icon! A brilliant comedian/actor. If you like this woman, you would love Catherine Tate. Look her up!

  • "If I've anything nasty to say, I pop it on a postcard." LOL!

  • you can see 'hyacinth' in this-- what a goddess!

  • @1overripetart ***hehehe*** yeah - Hyacinth's alter ego! :-D

  • Way I see it,if the entire series of VW:As Seen on TV was on prescription the sale of anti-depressants would plummet! Julie,Kitty,Susie,Duncan,Celia,et al,(oops,& of course, the woman herself, lol),ALL have made this one of tv's best presentations, ever! I don't usually say,"They don't make them like this anymore",but they DON'T,and they should! But I think VW has mainly retired from tv now,& no-one else could 'fill her slot',lol!

  • The mannerisms, countenance and comic timing are absolutely impeccable!!! Suberb!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "sex sex sex.. you'd all be better off with an 800 piece jigsaw" pmsl

  • GENIUS.

  • The writing is just fantastic.

  • Is this Hyacinth's alter ego?? ROFLMAO

  • Kitty 5 is now available..!! I found it and posted it.

look for 'kitty 5 Victoria wood' ;-)

  • Do dogs go to heaven ?

Hello catherine :) No they dont !

    i just love that :L !

  • "We're spunky in Cheadle. We totter on."

    Unbeatable.

  • I remember seeing this YEARS ago as a child. It's ten times funnier now, watching it as an adult. Truly, a national treasure.

  • This is the best Kitty sketch, hands down.

"'Is he getting tired of me?' Well, I'm getting tired of you and I've never even met you!"

  • Patricia Routledge is simply the one and only British comedic genius (with the exception of Victoria Wood and Julie Walters, perhaps).

  • @jphobp er, peter sellers, peter cook? or if you mean alive, there are still a couple of pythons kicking around...

  • She reminds me of my Nan! Lol! :)

  • But wer`e spunky in Cheadle, we totter on! I was genuinely CRYING with laughter - 100% top class. Brilliant stuff thanks to the tallents of Routledge & Wood.

  • "So I lent over--tapped her on the cleavage with a pastry fork--..."

    I love that line. LMAO

  • excellent!!! why cant tv be like this now. happy new year to all

  • Because TV is dumbed down, today`s audience wouldn`t get it, appreciate it, nor understand! Thats why the rest of us click on to BBC3 or ITV4

  • so right

  • @darrowby1972 I agree with you to a certain extent but i'm 22 and love all the old programmes! The good life, to the manor born etc. Modern TV isn't half as good!

  • Superb writing + brilliant acting = WIN

  • Were these written by Victoria Wood or Routledge herself?

  • Victoria Wood wrote them all

  • well it wants washing... so funny..

  • my boyfriend and i used to make love at least twice a night but now it has dropped off!!!

  • She is amazing!

  • Is someone going to upload part 5?

  • Brilliantly acted and wonderfully written by Victoria Wood. "Do dogs go to heaven, hello Catherine, no they don't!!"

  • I can't find "Kitty 1" on your Channel Page. Did you have a #1 in this 4 part series?

    Thanks.

  • 'cause Kitty 1 isn't mine, but it is available; look in the 'related videos' box - under 'Patricia Routledge Kitty'.

Now who had hold of me shower-cap?

  • Exquisite writing and comic timing to absolute perfection...pure genius...we're spunky in Cheadle we totter on...

  • i love this character much better than Hyacinth!

  • I used to wear Ma Griffe

  • blow the froth off the horlick's!!!!!

  • so this is not the real Hyacinth (Patricia)???

  • this was a sketch on the Victoria Wood show way before Keeping Up Appearances but acknowledged that Hyacinth was based on this character

  • This is Patricia before she began playing Hyacinth... I think this is where the character originated. ;)

  • omg! :D never seen KITTY before! oh super! take off from: TALKING HEADS,patricia, is simply brilliant! & so smart! &!! boy can she sing! shes loads of talent!!! just luv 'er ;D peggy usa

  • You gotta love this woman!

That's the great thing about good comedy.

  • Baby Hyacinth!

  • "I've told her you've yet to click in Cheadle, which I think hit home...!!! Brilliant!!! Thank you Victoria for a great script! and God forgive you Patricia for ever portraying Hyacinth Bouquet....!

  • Hysterical! I love this woman!

  • "but we're spunky in Cheadle, we totter on!"

    haha!

  • This video makes me laugh everytime I watch it!

  • Victoria Wood is the best comedy writer ever. Let's hope she writes more soon

  • "so i leant over... tapped her on the cleavage with a pastry fork"

Absolutely Perfect delivary and timing lol the mark of a GREAT actress.

  • "...but we're spunky in Cheadle. We totter on!"

  • Patricia Routledge - the best comedienne in the entire world!

  • this is great. before Hyacinth Bucket(nee Bouquet).

  • I get over there and get friggin LMAO!!!
