Yep you're partly right. Historically it was British (as the founder) and now the HD is in America. As it's privately-own, nobody knows the exact amount of equity. Anyway, there is a fair probability that >50 % of the capital is possessed by Europeans...
I put in queries like "amount of energy in an atom of hydrogen" and it doesn't understand at all.
Still lots of work to do on natural language processing I think.

I thought it was American (U.S.)? Wolfram Research is based in Champaign, IL. Or are you talking about the fact that Wolfram himself is British?
In any case, yes, I think it will be another high quality software production from these folks.
