Perhaps your right about dose over purity but there is no question in my mind the acid I took during the early 80's (blotter,microdot etc) lacked the visual and audio intensity of much earlier acids.Good acid is derived from ergotimine I'm not sure later acid cookers had access to it and would use other sources (morning glory seeds,Hawaiian woodrose seeds,etc).Even double and triple dosing could not achieve the effects of earlier acid.
