^^^^^^^ this video WILL help you - DO WHAT HE TELLS YOU TO and you WILL IMPROVE - don't let the doctors cut you open - i am 4 days in and already experienced half the pain - DO IT! only you can fix this!
Please help!! Had an injection and got much, much worse. Am no longer able to use my hand..nerve damage and severe atrophy and skin splitting and peeling. Was not like this before. Therapist says it's not normal, but docs won't listen. p.s. injectionwas extremely painful and felt like something was obstructing needle, then broke thru. Wish I had known about ultrasound guided injection.
I have suffered with De Quervain's tenosynovitis for the past six months. It was debilitating and was affecting my ability to carry out minor tasks without experiencing excruciating pain in my wrist. I decided to search for an alternative to cortisone & surgery and discovered the magnetic wristband. I wore the wristband for 3 days and noticed a dramatic improvement. One month later I'm 99% pain free with just the odd twinge now and then. Hope this helps someone else
@utuberocks1978 I purchased it from Magnetic Influence, a division of International Magnetic Solutions in Australia. I'm now 100% pain free - no signs of any tensoynovitis.
@createkindness sounds to me like that is a very smooth sale technique lol , fair enough the magnetic influence bit but then .. international magnetic solutions in australia ?? going a bit deep to be real
@createkindness But did you rest your wrist too ? I'm also having De Quervain's tenosynovitis and i'm looking for a solution but i cant not to do anything with it couse i work and the job requires me to do much weight lifting objects .
@garioldwin No, I kept working (at the computer). I wore the magnetic wristband day and night for 3 days and then removed it because it started to feel better. After removing the wristband it continued to heal. I'm still pain free, no sign of the tenosynovitis. I hope you find the right solution for you because I know how painful it is.
Had this for 2+ months...thought it would heal on its own....today Doc diagnosed it and gave an injection for immediate relief. Said if there's a recurrence of pain after 2 weeks..come back ...surgery to split the tendon would be the ultimate fix if necessary. Looked up DeQuervain's tenosynovitis on the internet and saw that it was common among new mothers due to lifting their baby (esp into the car seat). LOL! I'm a new Dad & primary caregiver! My 1yr old is 25lbs & twists like crazy. Ouch
I think this what i have developed since buying a guitar at christmas time. its very painfull and extends from the wrist and palm below the thumb right up my forearm toward the elbow!!
My cortisone shot lasted for 3 months and worked well. However, I don't want to do these 4 times per year. Had surgery 4 days ago. Surgery was quick, nearly pain free and healing is going well.
I have this. I got it in one wrist at the end of my pregnancy and in the other one after delivery. I plan to see a dr to get a shot soon. It is very painful and limiting!
How much should you stretch the tendon while doing the Finkelstein test? I should think that it would hurt on anyone if they stretched it too far. This is a genuine question and I would be really grateful for your thoughts.

According to the description on Wikipedia, this is actually the Eichoff test, not the Finkelstein

I suggest you all to read about Finkelstein's test from wiki and references first.

If you have this injury get it treated right away. This injury will affect your total lower limb and become chronic if left untreated!
I did not use my hands for over 1 year and thought this would cure my condition
not in the slightest!! same pain chronic even with treatment!!!
