I felt the mini-game was fun, especially at the start and doing the part with the bottles and the clues. But the whole 10% chance to get the cactoid compact and cactoid commendation was annoying as hell. Strangely enough, the last with they 8 button combo was really quick and easy.

There are some things in FF XII i absolutely loathe.... thisminigame is one of them!

And to think i saved that fool Ruskel from the cactuars...

should of let him rot on the other side and saved myself some stress from that damn minigame- GAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! (punches controller)

TO EVERYONE!!! AFTER GETTING MATAMUNE AND GIVING IT TO RUSKEL YOU MUST FIFH THE CACTOID COMPACT AT UPSTREAM BUT TO GET IT YOU HAVE TO DO PERFECT 100000000000 TIMES CAUSE IT IS 1% TO GET IT :(

al i got its downstream and midstream how do i get upstream?? i alvredy got the rod well NOW but wat am i supposed to do to unlock the other lvl

@SuperLoneman to get to the last areas, you have to fish up two cactoid items. both of which have a 10% or 1/10 chance of getting.

I'm on upstream and I keep getting "Frog spawn" instead of the Cactoid Commendation .... I've got the Mataume Rod. Anyone know any ideas why I'm not getting it?

where in the waterway is the black bottle part? you skipped that part like which area? you only say near rats theres tons of rats in the waterway

i have gotten the matamune rod from gilgamesh and i have talked to ruskel but i only have the 3 places to fish downstream midstream and upstream what am i doing wrong????

you must play each level many times to unlock the others

I finished everything on the video and did 10 times perfect the down mid and upstream but I don't have more level of fishing

Ok. Correct me if I'm wrong. You HAVE to do the Gilgamesh quest? Cause I keep fishing and no colored bottles, but i havent done the Gilgamesh Hunt. Do I need to go do it before they will start showing up? I know it's in the description i just want to make sure I'm understanding.

sir, what's the problem on my fishing because now I've mastered the upstream level and I get the matamune but still I am now on upstream? Is there anything I do to proceed to the 4th stream? thanks!

you have to try to beat every level many times (like 5 times each level to unlock the other level.

I've brought the Matamune to Ruksel but I can only fish in midstream and downstream. Have I done something wrong?

you have to play midstream & dowmstream, by completing the levels 3 to 5 times. so you can unlock another level

okay question im trying to do this again and idk if i got the matamune rod or not....do you GIVE the rod to him or does it stay in ur inventory? i dont wanna do all that fishing to try to get the item from upstream to try to get to the next area if i dont even have the rod and cant get it, u kno? and is there any wat to check if i gave it to him or not? haha thanks in advance
