@MrBawston I'm not sure if they are the same company, but they're both french papers. I tried looking on exaclair (dot) com because they import many french brands of paper products and it doesn't look like it is the same company on their site. I had thought they might be divisions of Clairefontaine, but now I am not sure.
The Exacompta is very fountain pen friendly, but it does take a long time to for the ink to dry. I get ink marks on my fingertips even after I thought it was dry.
@Blissfulthings Oh yes! Testing art supplies is a whole other OCD delight! Papers, paints, watercolor pencils, pastels, colored pencils...ahhhh! You did have such fun all weekend! ;)
@Blissfulthings Oh that's so sweet! I have to tell you that I started using the Exacompts Basics journal and it has a REALLY long dry time with fountain pens. Especially with wetter inks, of course. You have to be really careful not to touch anything for a long time, but even using a Lamy Joy with Noodler's Polar Black ink it barely has a shadow! I think I am going to get a small sheet of blotter paper to just lay on the page after I'm done to prevent me from smearing the ink--LOL! ;)
@Blissfulthings Yes, and then some! I'm one of the few of us folks who loves to sit and play with things like ink testing paper. Glad you liked it. It's a small audience. ;)
Exacompta and clairfontaine are the same company I believe . I'm real curious about that exacompta sketch pad
