@XrossFade Firstly because most people do not concentrate on music, and background music is judged by different standards than music you listen to intently.

Secondly, most people, by definition, are part of a dominant popular culture, and hedonistic exoticism manifest in loungey, spacey music appeals to those in an escapist mentality; by definition, always a minority.

That said, I don't think this song is a very challenging one, it wouldn't surprise me to hear it on the radio.

@hymnofashes well good comment. Songs that help me dream better at night are the ones i like. Most of the songs on radio just stays in my head and won't leave. That makes me drive around with talk radios only. The talks can be annoying but at least they don't stick like a bad song afterwords.
