Let me blow everyone's mind who loves post rock with leading guitar pieces. Look up Followed by ghosts. They broke up last may but good lord, They were so great. Kinda like If these trees could talk.
caspian is an underrated band, definitely one of the best if not the best post mogwai/explosions "post-rock" band, the four trees is a seriously beautifully album that still gives me chills 4 years later
Can anyone give me any other bands that use the tremolo strumming guitar work all over the place like these guys do? It's when the guitars are doing the fast strumming, and it sounds all dreamy and stuff, heh.
If you like Caspian, Hammock, Helios, Rachel's, Unwed Sailor, Boards of Canada, Explosions in the Sky, and other similar artists, you might like my music. I'd love some support. :)
I like to listen to this music and reading comments here. I have very simillar opinions like most of you guys. And I totaly agree with that nobody should blame someone for what genre or band he listenst to. I believe that every genre has its own culture that you have to understand and respect, even if you don't like it. I don't want to say you should keep your mouth shut. I just think that people should focus on what they like and support it or give it reasonable critique.
@slizzutbusta1719 Yeah I understand, it always pisses me off when you see that an amazing band like God Is An Astronaut has been around since 2002, released 5 albums, nobody knows about them, and other bands like Bloody Beetroots that released their first album last year and are already fucking famous.
I live in france, and I totally agree on that radio play comment, always the same shit... Always the same commercial music that is nowhere near art... Hey! I like Nickleback! ;P
i saw them at la fete de la musique in metz, france last year. they played under a bridge and it was amazing, the sound effect was mighty, felt like heaven for almost an hour.
Yeah they are well worth the watch and the ticket only cost me €13 and it was well well worth it. Love god is an astronaut, I got their setlist after the show and got them to sign it as well. Go me!
I'm goin seeing God is an Astronaut tomorrow night and these are playing too. I hadn't heard them before, but now that I have I can't wait for tomorrow!
@miedoalosholandes I just saw them last night in Limerick. You won't be dissappointed, it's a phenomenal show. Until last night I hadn't heard of Caspian, now I'm working on buying a few albums.
This was in Ireland in a really small bar, but that just made it all the more awesome. Their song Sycamore it blew my mind! To top it off I was talking to them after they played when GIAA were setting up they are such sound people!
What an awesome song! I always discover new bands due to other youtubers´ recommendations, and it´s always so peaceful on the comment boards here :) I love this music!!!
@slizzutbusta1719 Maybe they'll get bored of it if the same old crap gets played over and over. There is a method to their madness, it's just that the current fanbase enjoys the same songs 23497 times in a row. Profit is as profit does.
@ObombOA wow, get off ur high horse retard. just cuz someone doesnt share the same taste in music doesnt mean they dont understand it u conceded prick.
I drove into the holidays with my friends very early last week so I was terribly tired while driving. Almost fell asleep when putting this song on the radio.
After that I was forced to listen to Hardcore Trance stuff cause the others didn't want to die... my fault
@slizzutbusta1719 dude........ i feel the exact same way. im fed up with mainstream radio and nickelback bands and all this tasteless careless music. this stuff is heartfelt and awesome.
No they don't. Caspian is some Canadian hip-hop artist with the same name. It's unfortunate the guy had to choose the name, talk about poor misrepresentation. I donts likes the hipshop musics, it ams poops.
this is such a beautiful song! hey, pls check out our band, we are still on the process of figuring the right tune for creating our own ambient music.. just type, "jam experiment video file 3 (feb 2, 2010)" .. you can also check our past videos on my account.. leave a comment, thanks!
Yea I was thinking of a different one. I asked my friend to link me the first one I heard, and he sent me this one, I thought it was that, and didn't listen to it before I commented. There is another song that goes from 4/4, to a waltz, to a 5 count, or something like that. Not sure which one that was.
we have to keep supporting these guys with buying there music, yes they might be underrated but at least a few enjoy it with heart purity and absolute respect and appreciation.
I saw them live a couple of days ago. They opened with this song. It was one of the best gigs i've seen in years and I see three or four bands each week. I've never ever heard a more massive and beautiful sound coming out of speakers before.
...how did I get from Defeater to here? xD Oh well, it's awesome all the same :)
