I get this completely: The guy in charge in this skit obviously worked at the Ohio State University animal psychology lab in the early 1970's and took home some of the pigtail macaques with the brain electrode boxes implanted in the tops of their heads. I remember someone screaming one afternoon: "One of the monkeys is loose!!!" It was no joke.

I agree with xhyio that 'Sausages' and 'Killer Monkeys' are perhaps the all-time 'cinema bizarre' masterpieces from the Kids. Hilarious, but deeply disturbiing. Alot of Bruce's stuff was great on this same level, like the Wig sketch, and the one where he picks up dead roadkill off the highway. His Terrier song is great too. Kevin McDonald's 'Beard' sketch also has great cinematic touches of horror.

What I love about this sketch is that it's really funny -- obviously -- but, at the same time, it's really creepy and kinda scary, too. Foley is hilarious, but he is such a good actor, it works on both levels. The eerie cinematography adds to the whole atmosphere, too.
