David saying the word "love" is ridiculous considering the fact that he doesn't even know the meaning of the word. I don't get why GL is protecting him. All of the charges are things he's done none are fake so why shouldn't he pay for them?

That's obvious when he's willing to do anything for revenge including making his own daughter believe he's dying. If he can't love his own daughter, there is no way he can truly love anyone else, except himself.
As for David's crimes...(the most recent ones being those BEFORE his and Greenlee's return to PV, they didn't harm a living soul, (much less Ryan, Jake, and Erica) and were done for Greenlee's BENEFIT...UNLIKE what Ryan, Jake, and Erica have done. And what WERE they? Giving jewelry to a corpse, and fudging some DNA results... what punishment fits THAT crime, in your esteemed estimation? Got a ROPE? David only does bad things when he's trying to protect someone he LOVES... OR to retaliate!
They didn't hurt a soul? Really? Drugging Adam was a crime and it cost Stuart his life. He basically held Amanda hostage for a child that wasn't his. But that didn't hurt anyone right? Drugging Krystal was a crime. That destroyed a marriage. I guess that one didn't hurt anyone either.
By fudging those DNA results he killed hope. There isn't a punishment strong or harsh enough for that.

GL should have her company. But the last couple of days all she's done is whine about what everyone has done to her. She takes everything personally and then behaves like a 2 year old. I love GL, but the last few days she reminds me so much of Erica with her complete self absorption that it's driving me nuts.
The only exception have been her scenes with Erica which are still hilarious.
