Nice job. I'm an old school fan of Queensryche & this was one of my favorite songs when it 1st came out... but the song makes more sense today than it did 20 some odd years ago. The video was really enjoyable & I shared it on Facebook.
listen people, just the title alone shows what we can do as the youth of this country. we are the future, we are the hope. we are rebellion for fucks sake. let's stop being a god damn addled chemical youth and start being a rebellion, a true force for positive change. don't ever be afraid to pull the bullshit flag. it's our responsibility to do so, not just sit back in complacency. write your congressmen and women, let them know you arent happy. stop stating the problem, and state the solution.
@JAT763 My friend from over the big water....you word PRECISELY what I feel by experiencing this song!!! I will try to follow this example in my own Netherlands...you are not alone, we are rebellion...but only the seekers with a mind for positive change and solution will survive the sinking ship of society we all are creating....or are willing to change!!!!
Ya know, call me unpatriotic but I wasted 4 years of my life in DCU's gettin shot at in a shit stinkin country over some texas steer fuckin asshole's oil profits. Crap embarasses me to tell you the truth. Now I have PTSD and all the VA doctors wanna do is give me sedatives like I'm some kind of psycho. Thanks VA. You guys are really class acts. I guess our government can now go get their kicks flipping off old people and mugging 10 year olds for their lunch money. Queensryche rocks!!!

Liked the vid/music but kind of creepy at the ending don't know why but the music dark and a guy standing in front of a tank does that guy want to die just makes no sense what so ever!
Definitely my favorite album by them. Glad they played most of it live this tour! What are the spoken lyrics to this song? I think it's "...I really wish there was something I could do with my life that could really make a difference.. if I can't change the world then.."
It's so strange. I WORSHIPED Queensryche, covered their tunes,
knew everything I thought ther was to know. But only now do I understand thier messages and what they were "warning" us about. How did they know all of this back then? So strange. . . Yes?
thanks to the USA... sad to say , Americans have very Closed Minds... i tried to tell as many people as i possibly could back in the 80's and i was ignored... Queensryche still Rocks...!!!
i hear ya on people not relizing that the ryche has other stuff besides silen lucidity.just listen to their older stuffand you will see that it rocks.and for those of you who plan to be in the la/oc area on 4/22/09 you can catch queensryche at the house of blues in anaheim.mainly downtown disney.the new album comes out on 3/31/09.
For people who think that Queensryche is a lame band need to listen to the first 4 albums(Queensryche,The Warning,Rage For Order and Operation:Mindcrime 1&2) Of course these people are only familiar with Empire and not Queensryche's other releases!!!!
What i was speaking of is the fact that many Americans chose to take a kick to the nuts with a grin! Yes there needs to be an equalization of power, but when the people voluntarily chose to make themselves powerless, one starts to lose hope! Our media needs to ask the hard questions and we need to react accordingly!
Fantastic compilation for a song that was way ahead of it's time! Rage For Order IMHO is close to as good as Operation:Mindcrime Not quite, but close. Thanks and great work!
That the first song I ever listened of them. It was played on radio many...many years ago and I taped it. I just did know them by music magazines...just their image. Then I heard CR and I was blasted. The song didn´t lose any of its power...
Regarding blaming America for the world's problems, theres an old saying. If the shoe fits. I've spoken with people from various countries throughout the world, and currently America is viewed as the villian, primarily because in our time of need, the world was behind us following 9/11 and our fearless leader crapped all over that trust when he invaded Iraq and murdered their people for oil and revenge. That is the global view of America.
I love thier music, but i dont think that you understand that somewhat educated people do not want to fit into the stupid click that predominates the american opinion today! I chose to be smart! Thank you any way!
Did Sadam Hussein deserve to swing from the gallows? YES . But these country`s are so naive they believe what their EVIL rulers tell them & they do what they`re told. They are like sheep. America can not save them from their ignorance. I`m blessed to be born in The United States of America. Freedom!
Your freedom is just an illusion you are sheeps just like the people in the middle east but you guys just dont know it. Nd they dont do what they are told many people fought back to Sadam but their whole families got executed.
Freedom is A belief...; One that i believe in... A belief that one is born with certian civil liberties that no man, Government, or Anyone can take from you. Yes, you can make many valid arguements on how we as americans arent free because certian forces(government, the banks, the corparations, & etc.)control many aspects of our lives.
Dont you understand that Government WILL ALWAYS STRIVE FOR MORE POWER, and it is the duty of us americans to protect these liberties. Other governments have much
more power and influence on their people where it dosn't take a math wiz to figure out that Americans Talk about Freedom Passionately because we are greatful. Thats not to say we arent facing our own crisis right now but im glad to say IM AMERICAN and i would put my life on the line for these beliefs
as usual the left is correct, if someone disagrees it is only becuase we don't get it. i understand what the video is saying, it just seems like at times only america is the enemy, I believe in free speech but also in intellectual honesty, not all these events are Americas fault
It's almost always the right that tells us we don't get it, it's simple, we like you, find a voice and support it, shouldnt be a problem for you. As far as "intellectual honesty," again if we disageree we are somehow "unpatriotic" but you're somehow the victem here?
these voices aren't a problem for me, in this instance Ryche is my favorite band i have all their music and i see them every time they are in orlando. i am well aware of their liberal politics but listen to their music constantly, and finally i never said you were unpatriotic. the intellectual honesty point was to simply say i get tired of blaming america for all the worlds problems, even if you don't say that it seems many liberals do. sorry if you feel offended.
Nice job. I'm an old school fan of Queensryche & this was one of my favorite songs when it 1st came out... but the song makes more sense today than it did 20 some odd years ago. The video was really enjoyable & I shared it on Facebook.

I think on the cd booklet, after the lyrics, it only says something like, "....one bullet changes the world."

They grew up and the angst went away. Plus, they tapped out everything they had by the time they went in to record Empire.

@ENEMENCIO123VISION Maxwell is a mason, just like Icke and many other "truth" bringing people who happen to stay alive....................
Lots of truths with a few lies.
Take a look at the message of the ones who are dead now, for example start with Wiliam Cooper.
