Ok, HOW do I save it as an image? When I save it as jpeg and find it later and double click on it, it just opens up GIMP. How do I save it as JPEG and just a picture, not a GIMP folder...?

I just downloaded gimp a couple days ago and I really am getting a kick out of it. I tried the trial for photoshop, I don't know why but it confused the heck out of me. amazing i cant believe it turned out that good of course i added some of my own affects i selected the whole abstract art then i set gradient opacity to 12.0 and i just dragged the mouse in from different sides of it and it turned out all different colors turned out very well actually =D

Well gimp is easier to use because it was made for the "beginners". Photoshop in my opinion is alot better but more complex because you have more options.

Its not photoshop tard. Look at the Title of the Video. GIMP. A free art creation program. Photoshop could run circles around it, but you can't beat a free program. Try using Google search if it really confuses you. PS, spelling does matter if you hope to get correct search results.

How can I find how big my screen is?just trial and error?

Go to your desktop, right click on it.

Go to Properties, and a window should pop up.

Go to the Settings tab, and look down to the Screen resolution box.

It should say the current screen resolution you're using. (800x600,1440x900, etc.)

You're probably talking about the dialogues?

Just go to the dialogues in the file / edit / view / etc.. menu in the top of the screen. Go to Dialogues, fix that up real nicely.

The circle around his cursor is simply placed there by his desktop camera, and is not part of GIMP. As for losing your layers panel, I did the exact same thing, and once you have it back up, you can click on the small arrow on the right pointing left to get a toolbar. From there, find "A
