Originally shot in 1976 by Claude Lelouch.

The car used is a Mercedes 450 SEL with a Ferrari 275 GTB (owned by lelouch) soundtrack overdubbed afterwards.

Shot in a SINGLE TAKE with no cuts it is a cult classic.

I 1st saw this as a supporting feature in the cinema when I was 6.... Ive been a petrolhead ever since.

I forgot to mention that it was originally the subject of much speculation as to the identity of the driver. Many insisted it was Gilles Villeneuve, others said it was Patrick Tambay - Lelouch refused to comment as it was shot illegally in live traffic with no permits or permission from the police - the driver would be immediately arrested if identified. After over 20 years Lelouch came clean and named the driver.........It was lelouch himself !
