Unprotected border does not mean there are no border control agents :\ It means that there are no soldiers or militia patrolling and stationed along the border in either country just in case the other decides to launch an invasion...

@chadberry75 The funny thing is, our Govt. plans for the weirdest shit (seriously, entire think tanks dedicated to plotting out survival for the worst case scenarios), and water shortages due to climate change, or similar scenarios, are right up at the top as far as dedication to planning. From what has been found so far, it looks like we would actually invade Mexico and take THEIR water. Time is a major factor and Mexico is 9 mil. sq. Km smaller. Brotherly love, am I right?
