I love your work looks phenomenal. Are u currently working in the industry? If so where at, if you don't mind me asking? I am currently employed at with Millennium Studios at World Wide FX in Shreveport, Louisiana. I was just doing a little networking today when i ran across your demo , and wanted to let you know that I will be sharing your great work with others within my network. I will send them a LINK to your demo reel and see what they think. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did.
Hey CupofPhenol, thanks very much. To be honest it was good timing, and a former co-worker happened to be working at the gaming company where I applied, and he put in a good word for me. I had an interview and that went really well, and I accepted their job offer. It has been a very steep learning curve as games are much more technical compared to feature films or tv, but it has been very rewarding. Our new game "Darkness 2" was just announced last week.
Hi Scott, I like your reel, especially the shot with the dr.evil dialogue, and bit where the squirrel is wiping his body and arms. I've been animating on various television series for the past 4 years or so. I'd love nothing more than to get into games.. How did you break into that part of the business?
If any one has a the time please check out my Animations and please comment and Tell me what you think! Thanks subscribe too if you want! Hope to hear some comments Have a wonderful Good New Years!
you shuld work for rockstars i am gettin into the gaming industry is it a great way to make money working for gaming industry or animations movies for kids? best regards fernando
damn!!! now I' more inspired to become an animator!!! hope my dad is ok about that.... Hope I could work with you someday XD!!! It would be an honor!!!
Doing some reference research on line and came a crossed the great cow animation at the end of your reel! I just got to say, you really captured the perfect moment and feel of the cow in that short couple seconds. The mellow facial expression with the random twitching ear cracks me up! Reminds me of all the cows I see when I get a chance to go back home for a day or two... Before I started animation school and stopped sleeping 7 hours a night like regular people. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow, this looks really good. Especially if you take a look at the details. Al those little moves in a face of a animation (and I don't mean face like faces and vertices) that makes the whole thing look even better. It's all in the details.
I F -ING love this , this is what I want to do. So much better than mdagascar and is that with the fox whats his name from waynes world Im so retarded. But this is my career choice what school did you go to please? I want to be as good as you! thanks Jenn
wow man, I remember seeing your short way back in 2005 in the SIGGRAPH animation theatre. It was my favorite among the entries shown. Not surprising to see you having done work for Disney. Nice work!
Yes it is really my demo reel, and yes it is from The Wild. I worked on The Wild for two years and these are some of the shots I animated for that film.
nice work. I can only hope to be half as good as this. I start my diploma in animation and digital video later this year. This kind of work is really inspiring. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
Wow, man, this is incredible. Did you model these AND animate them? Pixar would KILL to have you, man! Do you have AIM or anything? I'm an animation major, and I'd sorta like to pick your brain. lol
WOW. Great Stuff. I'd lose that unrendered shot, not really as strong as you're other stuff and it's right at the beginning of your reel. Your stuff is great, i love that squirrel shot with the bridgette line. And that basesball fat dude is GREAT! I'd lost that walking shot aswell. other then that, super awesome!
Thanks very much for the critique! I agree with your comments and finally (after almost 2 years...) I'll be able to add some new stuff to my reel in the next few months after the NDA's run out on projects I've been working on.
wow ur soo good! i just started learning 3d animation. oh and you only animated it right? coz usually the animators only do.. the animation. then theres the modelers, who also rig the models, and im not sure who but somebody else adds the shaders and textures, oh and the fur and hair to make the model more realistic.
Modelers don't have to do rigging but it's a plus to do both. There is a position for riggers. I to am an animator and I have learned a little modeling, and rigging in school but I don't specialize in it because it's not what I want to do. But you're right, there is a person to do modeling, rigging, animation, textures, etc. It keeps to project moving faster. Check out my work and tell me what you think!
the characters could've been better, with metter textures and with the hair and fur modifier from max but the animation is the best, you could be a great animator
Man that's some nice work! Great poses and suttle movements. Question for ya, what is the name of that short film at 1:25? I saw it once before and I like to see it again.
Great stuff. i love all the little gestures you put in there, like scratching a nose or subtle eyebrow movements. I'm just starting off myself, any advice?
