I'll never understand where Freddie got all that energy from, even a man half his age would have trouble running around the way he did. Ah well, miss ya Fred.
Freddie told Brian backstage here that this is the last time they will do this. Freddie said I can't fuckin do this anymore. Brian just blew it off. Freddie knew.
@TheGibson5150 ahh dude you have no idea how lucky you were! I'm a 14 year old boy and i would trade the rest of my life to have gone to that concert in 1986! And you saw Freddie, wow i think i would faint if i woul've met him! (:
This was to be Freddie's last concert. By early 1987 Freddie's illness started to get to him... enough to make him get a medical check-up because he had been feeling punk. He had found Jim Hutton, and his private life was in control. He was a happy, satisfied man for the first time. But it was too late and Freddie's fate was sealed. : (
@LoveFrusciante ...Knebworth it was. Thank you for the correction. I believe the two concerts were only a month apart, in August and Sept of 1986. In one of the concerts, because of false rumors that Queen was beaking up, Freddie had announced that they would be together until they died. How prophetic was that? :(
Queen are the flag bearers for how to put on a live performance. It took years of hard graft to get to this stage, my mum and dad seen them live in the early 70s, bands these days arent given that time to develop anymore
I was born in 1987 and pretty pissed off that my generation didnt get to experience real music and real voices. I feel angry that people like spice girls and s club 7 were forced upon me while growing up, i didnt know any different. I hate the simon cowels for corrupting the music industry. i feel cheated!!!! QUEEN FOREVER!!
@MrSurFuNk They're both well above God status, they don't need to be compared. Besides it's different kinds of music. I certainly enjoy both, not at the same time of course, but at the appropriate time.
Question: whenever you go to a gig, arena for pretty much anything, its usually Queen they are playing before the show starts as everyone is heading to seats. But what were they playing before a Queen gig?
I remember standing infront of Freddie when he was on stage at Live Aid back in 85. It is indiscribable the way he made us feel that day and they wernt even a queen audience. Only proboblem was every gig I went to after that was a waste of time, after been at a queen gig. I still have my live aid tickets in a frame. Just think all what the bands do now Queen were doing that 20 years before anyone. Imagine what he would be doing if he were alive today. Love ya man.
This is the best performance in rock history. All todays rock vocalists fall short when compared to mister Bad Guy. No rock vocalist since Freddie could match up to him and his wide specter of abilities. The man was a phenomen walking and dancing on the stage. When Queen played, the world listened.
In my dream I go back to being 8 ys old(1986) and go in the wembley stadium like the people on 0:20 to watch the legendery Freddie .If only I could turn time back
I was there in 86 and this opening number sent the crowd wild, the atmoshere was electric, goose bumps on the back of your neck and it still does. Irreplaceable. Nobody has ever rocked like those guys. It was the best rock concert in history.
@boycieboy100 i only wish i was alive when this concert happened. I envy you, the fact that i'll never see Freddie Mercury or Queen live in concert as a full band really depresses me.

Perfect blend of the left and right brains... They prove you can be an artist and not have to be some crazy left wing nut.
I doubt we will ever see a band like this again.
Brian May MADE his guitars for this sound BTW. Listen to Deacon's bass lines... amazing!
simply brilliant..Freddie Mercury had the most purely perfect voice I have ever heard.. Amazing song writer, he designed Queens logo.chose their name in part because it is regal and absolute.he was the Greatest Frontman EVER.he was loyal to his friends shy and sweet in his private life..he was part of something so rare Queen.Brian May guitar master Roger Taylor extrodonary drummer John Deacon fantastic bass I was lucky them in concert '77 and'78 nothing like them.will always miss Freddie
@76i86989789 He looks crazy? Well... he´s not. He is just the best ENTERTEINMENT that has ever lived
But the funny thing is that other rude people that don't look crazy, LIKE YOU, are the REAL CRAZY ONES that boder coming to this Queen Video just to insult someone that you never knew.
@76i86989789 considering, this video is over 20 years old. And its still attracting people like you to look at it, I would say he must have done a hellova good job making music.
John Deacon on the bass folks! <3 All four of them were and forever are totally epic.
