  • WNBC IS SO Much better WCBS. I really like the 7pm newscast with chuck. Wcbs anchors have no experience.

  • Amen! Gimme Dana/Jim or Chuck and Sue anyday!

  • I was reading a Wikipedia article about Dana Tyler and it said that she & Jim might leave WCBS for WABC if Liz Cho wants a lighter "workload".

  • Don't trust very much what wikipedia says

  • I agree, it's a nice promo and shows some aggression.

I'm also a fan of the increased use of the "CBS 2 News" brand again.

  • nahh, CBS 2 News is a dumb branding. It's Gen Xy/young people like branding. Increased branding would drive me elsewhere. If any branding is good, it would be the classic Channel 2 News.

  • Wow... CBS 2 is taking advantage of Newschannel 4's truncated 30- minute 5 o'clock newscast. Not only did they take practically slam Newschannel 4 for not keeping its traditional 5 pm newscast, but also took "Live at Five" phrase at the end. All that aside, nice promo though by CBS 2 :) I guess Peter Dunn is putting the magic he used in Philly for CBS 2... leading to their strong 2nd place finish :)

  • Yet losing more viewers than the same period 1 year ago.

  • So then how do ratings look like in NYC among the "Big Three" (WCBS,WNBC,& WABC)?

  • WABC is the number one station in the NYC area in every time slot, sign-on to sign-off. They lead with every newscast. WCBS is second, followed by WNBC. However, WCBS is third in the mornings and last at 11. As for WNBC, they're second in the mornings and 11, and last at 5 and 6.
