I liked Okami better than Zelda. Okami is original. Zelda has the same structure over and over. Game startes, something happens, visit a temple, travel, visit a temple, travel. Etc. Okami has one, mabye two temples. I still like Zelda though

Wow, this song is much more beautiful when heard by itself as compared to in game. Don't get me wrong, I loved running around Shinsu field causing lines of flowers to cross eachother, but now I can concentrate on the instruments solely, it's just far more grand.

I've always been a spot on Nintendo fan. I always thought that outside of Nintendo, the only games that would be around would be first person shooters. It is what's most popular. However, after picking up this game, it's changed my mind. I started out with only Mario, expanding to zelda, then metroid, but Okami is probably the game that expanded my video game views the most.

Of course a lot of this game reminds me of Zelda...the two first temples were almost the same as some Zelda parts (first final boss: a giant spider-TLoZOoT-, and second, a temple where you have to turn bridges using wind on the windmills...), second, the use of a wolf (TLoZTP), third, you can go down holes in the field (pretty much Zelda-ish). The part where you shrink to Issun's size (TLOZ: Minish Cap), but even so, the games are both so different, it didn't really matter LOL

No game has impacted me emotionally more than this one. Whenever I buy a singleplayer-only game I usually end up questioning the worth of it after the first playthrough, but not Okami. Best game I've played in a very long time and will remain my uncontested personal favorite video game.

@Arbiter9 My thought exactly. Alongside the Spyro PS1 games (which I played as a kid so they may have an unfair advantage :P), this is one of my favourite games ever. In fact I was halfway through my third playthrough and couldn't stop playing until I got Super Mario Galaxy 2, very few other games could've stopped me in my tracks there. :P This game really encourages me to get round to playing Zelda: Twilight Princess once my exams are over. ;)

God, I remember the first time I listened to this, I immediately thought "Wow, what a beautiful piece of music!" and while it fits Shinshu Field perfectly, somehow I kept getting this feeling melancholy in the background, and it made me visualize someone traveling in the dead of winter with a heavy heart. God,if they set Shinshu Field in the winter, it would've been the perfect amalgamation of song and set piece. As it is though, it's simply moving. Genuinely tugs at the heartstrings.

The creator of Okamiden wants to see Okami on the 3DS. Perhaps we will see the grace of Amaterasu running in the field with this music playing once more rather than the cuteness of Okamiden? Either way, it's still Okami.

The 3DS is one of the next generation handhelds. Look it up, it has graphics similar to Gamecube. One of its titles are Kid Icarus: Uprising, with a Starfox 64 remake (and Ocarina too) coming. Paper Mario and Mario Kart are also confirmed title.

It was announced at E3 last month.
